Sony Electronics has announced an intention to spin off its TV business, with TCL Holdings Electronics Limited assuming charge of the Japanese company’s home entertainment business. The new structure, which will be finalised towards definitive binding agreements by end of March, will mean TCL holds 51% shares while Sony will hold 49% share. This agreement will be applicable in all countries Sony has a business footprint in, covering the complete spectrum from product development and design to manufacturing, sales, logistics, and customer service for products including televisions and home audio equipment.

索尼电子宣布计划分拆电视业务，由 TCL 控股电子有限公司接手这家日本企业的家庭娱乐业务。相关最终具约束力协议预计将于 3 月底敲定，新合作架构下 TCL 将持有 51% 的股份，索尼持有 49% 的股份。该协议适用于索尼所有业务覆盖的国家和地区，涵盖电视、家庭音频设备等产品从研发设计、生产制造，到销售、物流及客户服务的全产业链环节。
