China FM's India visit: To hold talks with NSA Doval; border dispute on agenda

中国外长访印：将与印度国家安全顾问多瓦尔举行会谈，边境争端纳入议程

NEW DELHI: Chinese foreign minister Wang Yi is set to visit India on Monday, news agency PTI reported citing sources.

On his visit, Yi will hold talks with National Security Adviser Ajit Doval under Special Representatives mechanism on border issue.

This comes as China and India have been working to improve relationship in recent months.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chinese President are expected to meet at the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) summit in Tianin, China, later this month.

China will host the SCO Summit in Tianin from August 31 to September 1 this year, and leaders of over 20 countries, including all member states of the SCO, and heads of 10 international organisations, will attend relevant events as per the Chinese Ministry spokesperson.

访问期间，王毅将在中印边界问题特别代表机制下，与印度国家安全顾问阿吉特·多瓦尔举行会谈。

此次访问正值中印两国近几个月致力于改善双边关系之际。

此外，印度总理纳伦德拉·莫迪与中国预计将在本月晚些时候于天津举行的上海合作组织（SCO）峰会上会面。

中国外交部发言人表示，今年8月31日至9月1日，中国将在天津主办上合组织峰会，包括上合组织所有成员国在内的20多个国家的领导人以及10个国际组织的负责人将出席相关活动。
