SCO summit in China: Ajit Doval urges nations to 'shun double standards against terrorism'; pitches for 'joint information operation'

NEW DELHI: National Security Advisor (NSA) Ajit Doval on Tuesday called for "shunning double standards in the fight against terrorism" at the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) held in China.

新德里：印度国家安全顾问（NSA）阿吉特·多瓦尔周二在中国举行的上海合作组织（SCO）会议上，呼吁“在反恐斗争中摒弃双重标准”。

Doval urged the SCO to hold the perpetrators, organisers, financiers, and sponsors of cross-border terrorism accountable, in a call widely seen as a demand for action against Pakistan-backed terrorism, reported news agency PTI.

据印度报业托拉斯（PTI）报道，多瓦尔敦促上合组织追究跨境恐怖主义的实施者、组织者、资助者及支持者的责任，这一呼吁被广泛视为要求对巴基斯坦支持的恐怖主义采取行动。

He also advocated for a "joint information operation" among SCO members to counter terrorism, separatism, and extremism.

他还主张上合组织成员国开展“联合信息行动”，以对抗恐怖主义、分裂主义和极端主义。

Addressing a conclave of top security officials of the SCO, Doval said India is "deeply concerned" about the continued threat from UN-proscribed terror groups such as Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM), Al Qaeda, ISIS, and its affiliates.

在向上海合作组织高级安全官员会议致辞时，多瓦尔表示，印度对虔诚军（LeT）、穆罕默德军（JeM）、基地组织、ysl国（ISIS）及其附属组织等联合国认定恐怖组织的持续威胁“深感关切”。

The NSA said New Delhi launched Operation Sindoor to dismantle terror infrastructure and deter terrorists from carrying out attacks in India following the Pahalgam terror strike.

这位国家安全顾问称，在帕哈尔加姆恐怖袭击事件后，印度发起“辛杜尔行动”，旨在摧毁恐怖主义基础设施，并威慑在印度境内发动袭击的恐怖分子。

Referring to the attack in Pahalgam, in which The Resistance Front (TRF), a proxy of LeT, killed 26 Indian and Nepalese nationals and injured several others after segregating them on the basis of religion, Doval said India launched Operation Sindoor to dismantle terror infrastructure.

多瓦尔提及帕哈尔加姆袭击事件时表示，印度发起“辛杜尔行动”以摧毁恐怖基础设施。该事件中，虔诚军代理组织“抵抗阵线”（TRF）按宗教身份对人员进行区分后，杀害了26名印度和尼泊尔公民，并导致多人受伤。

Doval said India's actions were "measured and non-escalatory."

The NSA stressed the need to "shun double standards" in the fight against terrorism and reiterated taking decisive action against UN-proscribed terrorists and entities like LeT, JeM, and their proxes.

I dont know when will India China relations will improve. China can grow much more and it will be long lasting if it looks for mutual benefits.. Russia, China and India can work for mutual benefits but more for stratergic interests and betterment of its people.

India and China don’t need conflict. China has been successful in raising living of standards for its citizens as measured by per capita GDP. India has made a huge strides in development and becoming the 4th largest economy. While China is ahead of India, both countries should focus on regional cooperation and betterment of an average citizen. Before the industrial revolution, India and China were flip flop as number one and two economies in the world. There is no reason why the feat can’t not be repeated. West would love to prevent from that happening!

中印不需要冲突。以人均GDP衡量，中国成功提升了国民生活水平，印度也在大步前进，成为了世界第四大经济体。虽然中国领先印度，但两国都该专注区域合作和改善普通民众生活。工业革命前，中印就在世界第一、第二大经济体的位置上轮换，没理由不能重现昔日辉煌，西方肯定想阻止这种情况发生！
