Village gets light before Diwali 68 years after Independence
‘Out of coverage area’ is a phrase that both defines and defeats Wada taluka’s Tilmall village where, till last week, the sun would charge Ramdas’ cellphone. It was only on October 12 this year that electricity hobbled its way into this sleepy hamlet which is only a bit over 100 km from Mumbai but so far relied on kerosene lamps and solar lanterns for light.
60 years of GARIBI HATAO by the Nehru Gandhi clan, and people have no electricity or toilets while the pappu travels by private jet and the Damad loots hundreds of crores.
What was CONgress doing all these years? Where are the CONgress “bhakts” now? Became blind??
They desperately wait for some bad news so that they can vent out their frustrations on BJP.
WOW. Great achievment. Achhe din aane lag gaye hain
This is like lightening speed
Good the village got power. Govt play politics to every event and nothing new. Till date more than thousands village has no power. Why that is not mentioned?
Congratulations to villagers.
This is not the only village but there are several other villages in India which sadly dont have lights till today.
What a shame.

I was wondering how many people in the village. Why did not they protest for their rights. It’s pity people live in innocence.

What a shame. No electricity means no Internet, no livelihood past the sun. But … why electricity poles? Why not solar lights right away? Bangladesh does better with Grameen Shakti.
Lucky. It did not take another 68 years!!
No toilets. People sh!t in the fields.
