US Secretary of State Marco Rubio departed after a four-day visit to India aimed at strengthening India-US relations. U.S. secured a critical minerals deal with India on the sidelines of quad meeting on Tuesday. Rubio met Prime Minister Narendra Modi and External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar to discuss trade, energy, visas, maritime security, artificial intelligence, defence cooperation and the Iran conflict. The visit also included discussions on the Quad alliance involving India, the United States, Japan and Australia. Rubio attended events in New Delhi, visited major landmarks, and held talks with Indian officials.
