A huge chunk of India’s LPG comes from the Middle East and the current war has disrupted tanker routes through the Strait of Hormuz, a channel that normally carries about 20 percent of the world’s oil and gas shipments. When ships stop moving there supply chains everywhere start choking. India uses LPG in over 33 crore households so even a small disruption quickly turns into long queues and panic bookings. And panic makes it worse because people start booking cylinders early, hoarding and black markets appear. Governments can increase production or reroute ships but they can not magically create fuel overnight when global ship lanes are under threat. Modern life runs on fragile supply chains. One war thousands of kilometers away and suddenly someone in India is standing in a gas queue wondering how to cook dinner.

Not sure, 7 days in a queue for LPG? Really?? Even if there are delays in some places, are there no alternative options for cooking at all? I’m in Bengaluru, and I got my LPG cylinder delivered in the usual time just like before. Better to verify the full picture before calling it a nationwide crisis

Imagine the amount of nautanki PPL do ....most PPL have 2 cylinders , those under unjwala one ...cylinders need to b booked online and delivery happens against otp ....all of this PPL suddenly found they didn't have cylinder left but nobody is showing their booking date

Before calling it a total failure of the Government of India, understand how the LPG system actually works. Cylinders from Indane, Bharatgas, and HP Gas are usually booked online or through a phone call, and an OTP is generated before delivery to the customer’s home. People generally don’t need to stand in queues for days if the booking system is followed. One emotional story cannot be used to declare a nationwide crisis. Criticism should be based on facts, not narratives.

在说印度政府彻底无能之前，先搞清楚液化气供应流程。印丹、巴拉特、惠普三家气罐，通常线上或电话预订，配送前会发验证码。按流程走，根本不用排队好几天。不能靠一个煽情故事，就说全国爆发危机，批评要基于事实，而不是编故事。
