I don’t think you get it. As normal humans they set goals that are logical and set out to achieve them, but in this case it’s the government that sets the goals and funds the humans to achieve them, regardless of “shareholder benefit”. It’s not about working hard, Americans work hard too, it’s about working without a path or a goal that changes every 4 years. It’s sometimes 2 steps forward, one step back, etc etc, whereas China just keeps step forward with a peoples party priority, not shareholder; that’s the difference.

H20 and H800 are the modified versions of H100 which are banned for China. The US allows the shipment of H20 in exchange for rare earth from China, but is still withholding H100. H20 may not be the AI chips which Chinese companies want. Huawei has probably come up with AI chips which are much better than H20.

Lets be clear, Nvidia does not make chips, they design chips, made primarily in Taiwan by a third party. Nvidia designs the electronic patters that are then made into a silicon chip by a contract chip manufacturer. Nvidia also designs the associated software required in the process. It seems to me the real tech race at the moment is how to make / manufacture chips run primarily by light, not electrons. Can this light processor be made more simply than current chips?

Thanks. China's policy is not about wng. It is about long term, sustainable future. One of the major objectives is hel the less-developed countries (with BRI, etc), the common prosperity solution. Then everyone is a market for something. Different culture is like different color, we don't have to look the same or have the same religion, de ocracy... China is for peace.
