Chinese researchers are pushing ahead with the research work on the Chang'e-7 lunar exploration mission, planning to send a flag that can flutter in a very thin and tenuous atmosphere after its predecessor Chang'e-6 brought back the first-ever samples from the far side of the moon last year.

中国研究人员正在推进嫦娥七号月球探测任务的研究工作，嫦娥六号去年从月球背面带回第一批样本，中国计划在月球上插一面可以在非常稀薄的大气层中飘扬的旗帜。

作为中国探月工程四期的基石任务，嫦娥七号任务包括一颗主探测器和一颗通信中继卫星。主探测器由轨道器、着陆器、月球车和迷你飞行探测器组成，计划于 2026 年发射。

据央视新闻昨日报道，嫦娥七号将搭载科普载荷，尝试利用电磁场的相互作用实现旗帜在月球上飘扬。

这个载荷的创意来自长沙的小学生们，将和嫦娥七号探测器一同前往月球南极。嫦娥七号将前往月球南极寻找水冰存在的证据。

嫦娥七号包括四器一星，分别是着陆器、轨道器、巡视器、飞跃器和中继卫星，着陆区选址在月球南纬 85° 以上的南极-艾特肯盆地区域。

飞跃器将首次在月球开展飞越探测，飞越到月球南极阴影坑里进行勘查，去寻找月球可能存在的水或水冰。

I really hope China can steal a march to land human on the moon before the U.S.
Also I don't understand how the U.S. can build a lunar station before China does, they're busy trying to get their spaceship to the moon, but in order to build a lunar outpost, it needs to know the where to build it, I can see China is doing a lot of "leg work", i.e. soil sampling, the most detail of the moon survey, I can't see the U.S. is doing that.
