MOSCOW: In an unusual incident, Prime Minister Narendra Modi was pulled back by a Russian official as he walked past the guard of honour accorded to him while the Indian national anthem was being played soon after his arrival at the Moscow airport on Wednesday.

PM Modi started walking following a gesture by a Russian official when the military band was playing India's national anthem at the Vnukova II airport. A Russian official then gently nudged him to move back.

After the Prime Minister stepped onto the tarmac, a Russian official made a gesture with his hand which was reportedly misinterpreted by PM Modi as he started walking. It could be that the official asked the band to start.

就在莫迪抵达莫斯科机场后不久发生一起不寻常的事件。印度国歌奏响时，莫迪总理走过仪仗队，被一位俄罗斯官员拉回。

军方仪仗队奏起印度国歌，俄罗斯一位官员做出一个手势，莫迪（会错意而）开始走步前行。另一位俄罗斯官员轻轻拉住并请他站回原位。

莫迪总理走上停机坪后，俄罗斯一位官员挥手，示意军方仪仗队可以奏起国歌，莫迪误会对方的意思，以为请他检阅仪仗队，遂大步向前走。
