Newly completed highway bridge in Sichuan to facilitate Yi people in mountainous areas

四川新修公路桥，方便山区彝族群众的出行

A highway bridge spanning the inyang River opened to traffic after four and a half years of construction, facilitating the people of the mountainous Liangshan Yi Autonomous Prefecture.

经过四年半的建设，一座横跨金阳河的公路大桥通车，为山区凉山彝族自治州人民的出行提供了便利。

With two-way lanes, lanes for non-motor vehicles and sidewalks, the inyanghe Bridge is 757.7 meters long and 16 meters wide. The bridge is about 238 meters above the riverbed of the inyang River, with the highest pier towering at 196 meters, equivalent to the height of a 65-story building.

金阳河大桥长757.7米，宽16米，双向车道、非机动车道和人行道。这座桥高出金阳河河床约238米，最高的桥墩高196米，相当于一座65层楼的高度

Before the bridge was built, it took more than an hour to travel from the old seat of inyang County to the new one. With the completion of the bridge, the travel time is shortened to only two minutes. The bridge is also expected to boost the county's economic development.

在大桥建成之前，从金阳县老城到新县城需要一个多小时。随着大桥的建成，行车时间缩短到只有两分钟。这座大桥也有望促进该县的经济发展。

Yi people they are one of the minority in China. They mostly live in remote rural area like what we see in the video. The chinese see and treat all minorities equally to the Han Chinese as long as they are born in China and Chinese nationalities. In fact minorities have better state benefits than the majority Han Chinese.
