Boeing CEO meets PM Modi: Super Hornet fighters, P-8i for Indian Navy part of pitch?
Boeing Presi nt and CEO Dave Calhoun met Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi to explore wider partnership and participation in India’s Aatmanirbhar Bharat agenda. Reports suggest that Boeing CEO discussed investment in the GIFT City in Gujarat and expressed support for India’s leasing industry. Boeing is one of the largest aerospace company and is eyeing India for its growing aviation market. In past, Boeing has supplied C-17 Globemaster, P-8i aircraft, Chinook & Apache helicopters to India.
This guy is not giving jobs/employment, but he is creating an ecosy em for manufacturing and technology. Something which we lacked for years. It will take time but I believe these will certainly be beneficial for future generations.
Having that coveted jet engine core tech will truly be a quantum l for our aviation sector and economy in the long run.
We must go for additional Chinook, P8i and Apache from Boeing
I am so glad Narendra Modiji granted him personal audience. It is a powerful message to the US that India is an important economic and military partner.

Modi go nment is doing it's best to create an ecosy em that will create millions of job and aatmanirbhar (self reliant) of it's current and future needs. Kudos to team India and we as people are greatful to this current go nment. What a time to be alive.
F/A-18 super hornet is a proven jet but the real problem is the variety of jets IAF operates it would be very hard for the pilots to use different technologies in different planes and the training is the biggest challenge for IAF......
F/ A -18超级大黄蜂是一款经过验证的战机，但真正的问题是印度空军使用的战机种类繁多，在不同的飞机上使用不同的技术对印度飞行员来说很难，培训是印度空军最大的挑战......
Every country with a strong backbone for entering any kind of war has had a massive manufacturing capability. Like US, China and even historically Nazi Germany. India's manufacturing capability needs to grow and grow even more if we are to truly stand amongst the super powers. Imports are a liability prone to getting cut off in times of international po itical turmoil. This is a very powerful step that will make India stronger in more ways than one.
This is great news for India and the world. Kee India strong and secure is good for the whole world. It is the only powerful nation that does not harm others.
Don't know about Super Hornets, but P-8i is very useful for hunting enemy's submarine
We Have to admit that our prime minister is unstoppable.Forget about a single day He is not resting even for a single hour..
Welcome Capitalists like Dave Calhoun to make huge investments in the Indian Defence sector by JV,R&D centres to ensure Bharat becomes a hi tech defence manufacturer
This way our youths will stay back in India to serve Maa Bharathi
India and USA should work together a lot. I love to see more scientific partnerships.
Only science can help the humanity and the planet thrive.
Atmanirbhar Bharat is good, but try to enhance technological advancements in India in Indian companies , we don't have private arms company with top notch technology, learn from Israel , don't let Indians to work for Europe and west countries
Indian navy should go for F18 Super hornets for the new Aircraft carrier Vikrant.
We need 50% manufacturing in India.
Hindustan (Special about today in history)
One question always raise in my mind that our Indian brains used by foreign countries just like USA, France, Britain and many other foreign countries but after we woke up after 60 years of independence.
What is the reason behind this; it's go nment disaster or our own disaster.

Hal recently launched indeginous small passenger aircraft for north eastern part of country. I would love to see it HAL learn and absorb everything from boeing and so we can finally create large commercial aircrafts. I know it would be difficult due to Airbus/Boeing Mafia who would not ultimately want their dominance challenged, but I'm positive.
Great initiative, work with US, they are greedy but can contribute massively to Indian economy. China grew because of US. There is no alternative.
It would be an interesting battle between boeing and dassault for naval fighters

Bharat need to develop critical defence technologies going ahead.
India should really work with US big aviation and millatry companies like Lockheed Martin and boieng because these companies have the most modern technology in the world
Boeing P-8i one of the most deadly submarine hunter aircraft
Modi has done tremendous job in RAILWAY, MANUFACTURING,STARTUPS ECOSYSTEM, INFRASTRUCTURE, HOSPITALS , EDUCATION,. now needs to improve in FINANCE , Unemployment
i dont think india is going to buy super hornets or P-8i cause,DASSAULT AVIATION offset contract is still in progress, and India is making better anti submarine substitute of P-8I.indian govt. will try to fully utilize its efforts with Dassault rather than going for a new partner. it's just a strategic meeting for future
Uncle Sam is known to provide wons first, then restrict them to use without their permission but everything goes down when it comes to INDIA No one can dictate us.....
P8i and F15 is really beast.
Boeing should have chosen Bangalore or Pune city for talent and resources
Well all but they have to transfer the technology then we are able to progress.
When will India have its own Boeing?engineers of India need to step up
Very good news for INDIAN
