A new nuclear power unit powered by the Hualong One reactor, the China-developed third-generation nuclear reactor, has started commercial operation in Pakistan's Karachi, the China National Nuclear Corporation said Monday. With a capacity of 1,100 MW, the K3 unit of the Karachi Nuclear Power Plant is the fourth nuclear power unit in the world to use the Hualong One reactor.
