External Affairs Minister Dr S Jaishankar said India has become dominant, assertive and a key player in the international arena as he listed out the achievements of PM Narendra Modi's government since 2014. The minister was in conversation at Hindustan Times Leadership Summit 2023 with our Editor-In-Chief Sukumar Ranganathan. Why are we still taking Foreign Aid when we are doing so well - that we don’t seem to need.

We seem to only be talking about the ‘Good’ we have done to others, while never acknowledging or having gratitude for all the aid we have received through the decades.

Since India is the mother and the largest de ocracy in the world and we are fed up with motivated statistics and indexes published by western dominated and agenda driven private agencies and financial bodies, we need a reliable and unbiased international data, standard and index for everything from economic ratings to human ri hts, food security, religious, de ocracy, freedom of speech, expression etc. There should be a open, reliable and may be G20 standard and criteria for everything so that all ratings can be accepted by everyone in the world.
