WASHINGTON: The White House confirmed on Tuesday that US President Joe Biden has tested negative for Covid-19 and is scheduled to travel to India on Thursday to participate in the G20 Summit. During this summit, President Biden will engage in a bilateral meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

华盛顿：白宫周二证实，美国总统拜登新冠检测呈阴性，计划于周四前往印度参加G20峰会。峰会期间，拜登总统将与莫迪总理举行双边会晤。

This announcement follows the recent positive Covid-19 test result for First Lady Jill Biden on Monday.

President Biden, who is 80 years old, underwent Covid-19 testing on both Monday and Tuesday, with both tests returning negative results.

National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan provided details during a White House press conference, saying, "On Thursday, the President will journey to New Delhi to attend the G20 leader's summit. On Friday, President Biden will engage in a one-on-one meeting with Prime Minister Modi. Subsequently, on Saturday and Sunday, he will take part in the official sessions of the G20 summit."
