The U.S., Saudi Arabia, the UAE, and India are discussing a vast railway network, according to the Axos report. The megarail network will connect Gulf and Arab countries, extending to India via ship lanes. The idea for such a project was raised by Israel during I2U2 meetings over the last year. The Joe Biden administration has been working hard to normalise ties with Saudi Arabia in recent months. The U.S. is concerned about Riyadh's closeness with Beiing, which challenges its hegemony in the region.

it's impossible to build railway network linking Gulf countries to India because India is completely surrounded by other countries in the north/west region: Iran, Pakistan ... to do so, consents from those countries are required to have railways crossing and built on their lands ...

As things are, conservatively, India's ay least 20 years behind China in rail tech and infrastructure. In terms of productivity rate, India's again about 2x behind China. All this heralded talk by the US and India of course remains for now a dream. But if ever it comes to fruition, it'll be a good thing for the general consumer since competition is healthy in many aspects. However, the American continent is not even a part of the trans-Eurasian land so that the pressurising question is US structural relevance after all's said and done. Which means there will then be 2, not 1, huge adversaries for the US. 3 if we should include Russia. Substantively, therefore, it's getting very hard to see US dominance in this hemisphere of the world in the 21st century anymore.

I really don't see India making sufficient gains with these developments. China is a major trading partner of every country on the globe - India is not. China has massive industrial output, second to none - India doesn't. China is in UNSC with the ability to veto - India doesn't.
What I'm saying is: China gets things done and doesn't choke under pressure (like India at Chabahar). India doesn't bring major investments anywhere nor does it build anything of value. Other countries sees this clear difference.

Much of it has already been built by the Chinese, their railway network is currently in operation ... China can transport merchandises/oil/gas from China to/from Russia, some countries in Central Asia, some countries in Europe ... hopefully, they can build a lot more railways across Asia and Europe ... with their vast expertise in rail technology, they can certainly help in this project too .
