Huawei Mate X3 foldable smartphone launched in China: Price, specs and other details

Huawei has expanded its foldable phone portfolio with a new smartphone in China. The latest Huawei Mate X3 foldable smartphone has a similar form factor to Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold series smartphones. Apart from the Mate X3, the Chinese smartphone maker has also launched three new smartphones under the P60 series -- the Huawei P60, P60 Pro, and P60 Art. Huawei is not allowed to ship phones with Google’s apps and services (including the Google Play Store). So, the company’s latest foldable smartphone may struggle to compete with other foldable handsets in the international market outside China. Moreover, the company also has sanctions in multiple markets including the US and India. The smartphone also lacks 5G connectivity.

On its official site, the company has also mentioned that the Mate X3 features a redesigned hinge mechanism. This new mechanism can open the phone at a variety of different angles. This feature can be helpful for users who want to use these angles for selfies or video calls. However, the company hasn’t mentioned how many folding cycles Huawei Mate X3’s hinge can survive.
