Three theater commands of the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA) carried out an array of maritime real-combat training sessions. The PLA's Northern Theater Command Marines held live-fire training in the Yellow Sea. The Eastern Theater Command carried out the same training with a fleet of ships in the East China Sea. The marines in the Southern Theater Command also organized similar activities in recent days.
