Putin's war delays weapons delivery to India
The Russia-China axs is growing stronger. China has sent troops and tanks to Russia for drills. Both sides are also expanding their economic partnership. Is China casting a shadow on Russia-India ties?
India is a gentle giant. She does not seek conflicts, but she does not cower when conflicts arise. India is a responsible nation who aims for a just and civil world. India acquires weapons solely for self defense.
One could also argue that the Russian defense industry is busy supplying armaments to its forces fighting in Ukraine, therefore, causing delays in shipment commitments to India. On the other hand, your analysis is thought-provoking and should cause some worries for India's strategy in the region. An alliance is taking shape between Russia, China, Iran, and Pakistan, and an amenable Turkey is on the sidelines.
America has pushed China and Russia closer to each other. India, on the other hand, has played both sides of the fence, being a member of the QUAD with the US and buys Russian oil at the same time. Each country seeks its own interest indeed.
China definitely can't keep its economy running by switching from the West to Russia. They need export. But Russia is on a good way to becoming Chinese gas and oil station. Gas supplies will be a win for China, they will pay a special price for gas because they will be the only buyer. In a few years, the world will split into two blocks and economic trade will change immensely.
It's time India reduced it's dependance on foreign weapons and developed it's own advanced weapons and military equipment. If India has the ability to put satellites in space, surely it's capable of develo it's own advanced defence industry.
Once a Russian leader said-'India is our Friend but China is our Brother!' Geopolitics is strange.

Sometimes it's hard to believe that we are living in a civil world.Human the most intelligent social animal behaving like the most unsocial now a days.
with a super large 5th ranked economy in the world, India is an economic powerhouse .... India has a role to play in the Asian region too I am sure .... buying lots of oil & gas from Russia also help in that regard ....
Right now armaments are something that Russia needs for itself, India could be waiting quite a while for her weapons, I would line up another supplier just in case.
Indians do have soft corner for Russia due to past thus the neutral stand & mind you that neutrality supported by all political parties & people of India irrespective of their leaning to left or right or center. but if relation between Russia & China grows than India would expect Russia to be neutral like India did in their case
One thing for sure is the fact that Putin is doing everything within his power to please both India and China and India knows this truth , what's really a shame is that China and India are having boarder disagreements which is and has been a thorn in the side for not only China and India but for Russia as well

India can play a key role like Turkey. It is hard for Russia relationship with India since since India is part of the US led QUAD.
Sending troops and tanks for exercise then leaves the tanks for Russia. Smart move.
There is no question of "Abandon " India by Russia OR Russia by India. Because India needs Russia AND RUSSIA NEEDS INDIA TO BALANCE CHINA...
Regarding the Russia Special Military opp in Ukraine, China stood with Russia, Indian took Neutral stance.

India will be a major partner by way of distribution of oil to the Europeans. As a member of SCO and BRICS, India will be shining.
It means 1 Thing Only: Strap Up and Time for the Real "War to end all wars!"
Truth and Justice are only Words
India is mostly alone always, they will have to fend for themselves like always..make best use of what is their and concentrate on own production and development, may take time but is the best option forward!!! see how iran is now a net exporter of arms due to sanctions it developed its industry(may be someone helped too)
Well like you said India must look after it's own interest. India choose to go with Russia knowing the risk.
Russia is one friend of India, and there are others. The best friends
Make no mistake, Russia and China are not exactly best friends! They will work together as long as they share a common goal and the benefit is mutual!!! Outside of these common interests, there is little love between China and Russia! These countries share many grievances towards each other, among them, disputed borders (to mention one)...
Russia is busy fighting an all out war, and you indians expect them to deliver weapon orders in timely manners? you kidding right..
One thing is clear Russia will never leave china for India Russia helped us in 1971 and now we did by not going against Russia but now we need to think what we need for our security if any problem come on our borders not even Russia or any country from west will come forward so we need to prepare now still have time
They're both too power hungry to work together in the long term.
India chose the side now they will see the results of that decidion
India has been leaning towards Europe, pretending to be sitting on the fence never works out well. A lesson India still has to learn
India should not stand against any or partner with any, it's a fact India went closer to their past enemies whose war ships were about to attack india if Russians'war ships had not reached on time. I think it's up to India to take a side or not.
There is 0 chance of Russia abandoning India for anybody.Hopefully, China and India settle their differences on the LAC issue sooner than later to show the world the three great nations are real friends amongst themselves, and that no one dares their sovereignty.
