India-U.S boost naval ties; Indian shipyards to maintain, repair U.S Navy ships
In a major boost to defnce cooperation, U.S and India are exploring the possibilities of Indian shipyards to not only maintain but to also repair American Navy ships. The move also aimed to bring more business to the Indian shipyards, will further boost defence trade between New Delhi and Washington. The key decision was taken during the India-U.S 2+2 ministerial meeting that was held in Washington on Monday.
This will be the opportunity for India to enhance its Naval capabilities.

Hopefully Indian Navy will become one of the world's strongest navies. Be a force for good. Be a force for peace. Root out and control evil everywhere.
stairway to heaven
Whatever cooperation is done, ensure no other country is allowed to have military base in India, shouldnt allow colonialism to repeat due to greed for money.
Can we become a legend by having good relationship with Russia and and the west in the future without walking on a tightrope between them.
A stand must be taken only if it is of advantage & okay for India
For environmental point of view, it is not a good idea for Indian people view all the rusted metal parts and metallic waste will now be dumped in Indian waters. It is going to be a good health hazards for Indians.
Jai Hind and PM Modiji n Salute to Make In India Initiative and Aatma Nirbhar Bharath ..
US has the strongest navy in the world. Hopefully we can learn something from them.
How about offering shining service to the army, could be a good source of foreign exchange earnings.
Man from Asia
My fellow friends from Asia, imagine how good our lives would be if we were born in the United States of America.
I see this as a strategy to contain china from entering into indian waters. Chinese will think twice to make a move as US naval ships are present in india and will make sure to put pressure on china and ofc, this also has a drawback as we can see US Navy presence in india which is not in India's security interests
I hope our shipyard does not damage their multi billion dollar machines.
What happened... US was about to put sanctions on India.
US worried of countries like Saudi and India..... moving completely to Russian block may lead to downfall
India will become soon as super power, pl. understand and estimate the US moves
I wish we had good relations with China
The evil empire cant take care of their own military hardware..lmao
Where there is US, there always trouble
Hope it's ONLY repairs and maintenance...reminds of colonization...waste is not dumped...
Don't know why, but won't be good for India's interests and security..
Anyways when our ministers have agreed, there must have considered our interests..
Russia/ China will not like it. More pressures from either side are expected.
I think India should try to normal the relations between USA and Russia
Is India become more like what pakistan is today in usa's eyes?
Be aware of west hypocrisy and double standards character
It’s very bad news for India to have western country in our back yard we will be sorry some day
Hope US navy does not dump things on India while docking! This may be to closely monitor India. Summary- not a good decision to allow any other country in our dock yard.
It's like making friends with the toxc guy in the class who can backstab anytime. I hope India plans for any consequences
This is unacceptable for now atleast
Don't do it. They're just creating another base here.
But Why ? They are Hypocrites
What will india get out of this
Bhavish b Mudaliar
What's so big about this how is this going to hep us
Short of offering a permanent base.
A temporary base for the US in exchange for allowing India to set up a listening post at Bagram in Afghanustan to monitor the activities of jihadis n their handlers in Paxtan
Give and take business
Wow disgusting .All is this a process of becoming a client state of America .
it is like giving naval base to US...
We need US millitary Base in India too
We have literally backstabbed russia thanks to these people
Next step is to allow US and build more military base in India
