New 25km cross-sea bridge opens to traffic in east China
A new cross-sea bridge officially opened to traffic in east China's Zhejiang Province on Wednesday, with the 25-kilometer-long structure hel to greatly boost transportation and connectivity for potentially hundreds of thousands of residents. The bridge is one of the longest structures of its kind in the world, connecting the islands of Zhoushan and Daishan in the East China Sea. Automatic equipment was deployed during its construction which greatly saved on labor force in the building process.
Looks beautiful! I would like to drive on it one day.
Amazing, only China could build such an engineering marvel
We could all do it, if we worked TOGETHER !
@gold nutter we could if western nations cared enough to focus internally, instead of imperialistic outlooks.
With money borrowed from the west that we may just say you cannot have anymore. Well done. Another idiot congratualting success with no understanding of the implications of creating infrastructure on borrowed money and no idea how to pay it back.
Wow, the longest sea bridge of its kind in the world as smooth as the aircraft runways, amazing. People can go by car now to the islands in the South China Sea. May be you can see the Aussie submarine through the glass of the aquarium, Aussie becoming a tourist attraction!!
China is outstanding!
"alone I may go fast but only TOGETHER can we go far"
You go China!! I have to see what’s going on over there to smile and feel like I’m in the 21st Century. We stuck at 1970.
China is awesome. It's leaders care about the lives and comforts of it's citizens. Go China!
Thats why i want to visit china.
It's really beautiful that's cool:D
I'm still trying to build myself a chair and China has already built a 25km bridge. Mind boggling.
Very good bridge
Epic bridge! If only there exsted a bridge of peace between China and the USA
How big are the populations of the two jurisdictions being connected by this bridge?
Connecting two islands off the coast Zhoushan and Diashan Islands.
According to the 7th National Population Census taken on Nov.1, 2020, there were 1157817 long-term residents in the area.
@Handyman interesting. 1.2 million people is a lot for some countries but just a drop in the bucket for China
@Hayden You are quite right. However, Zhoushan islands are a popular tourist destination for people from Shanghai and surrounding area.
AMAZING and A FEAT OF ENGINEERING
