Indian Railways has completed the trials of its new Economy AC 3-tier coach at a speed of 180 kilometres per hour. The new Economy AC 3-tier coach which has been manufactured by RCF Kapurthala has been undergoing RDSO trials in the last few days. The Ministry of Railways has tweeted a video of the Economy AC 3-tier coach being tested at 180 kmph on the Kota-Sawai Madhopur section.

"We have completed the trials and now the report for the same is being prepared," Ashish Agrawal, PRO of RDSO told TOI. Once the report is complete, then with necessary clearances, RCF can start mass production of these coaches. The oscillation trial by RDSO was conducted in loaded condition at 180 kmph, Indian Railways said.
