WASHINGTON: US President Donald Trump has replaced his campaign manager after polls showed him falling further behind Democratic challenger Joe Biden in the race for the White House amid growing ridicule for his handling of the coronavirus pandemic.

In a continuing slide for his re-election prospects, Trump is now 15 points behind Biden (52-37) among registered voters, according to a Qupiac University national poll released Wednesday. It is Biden’s biggest lead since surveys began for the November 3 Presidential election; various other polls show Biden leading by 8 to 11 points.

Voters now give Biden a slight lead over Trump (50-45) in a direct match up when it comes to handling the economy, reversing the 51-46 lead Trump held in this sphere.
