Kolkata may get direct flights to , Shanghai soon
KOLKATA: IndiGo will use Kolkata as a hub to improve connectivity between India and . While the airline currently has flights to two cities, Guang and Chengdu, airline chief executive officer Ronojoy Dutta said the carrier was keen on flights to and Shanghai from Kolkata.
Please start non-stop flights to Kuwait, Bahrain and Muscat from Kolkata. At present no such flight is there though lot of people travel everyday in these routes. None of the route is more than 6.5 hours, which is perfectly well for A321neo. A320neo flights are operated in a 7 hour 5 minutes route by an airline which I know. So no problem in operating in the routes above.
More smuggling we can expect

Well, let's wait and see, when it turns into reality.
Sir would request you to look at Europe and North America. Passengers struggle in ho to reach Kolkata. Get long haul flights and connect to western world from KOLKATA. No direct flights at the moment. For sure if you will can start direct flight

Sadly Sir Indigo does not have the aircraft for direct kolkata to london service as it's longest range aircraft A321 neo can travel for 6 hrs only non stop.

Yes very true I know. See all the Indigo aircrafts are leased one they use six years and then return to keep the fleet young. If they can take lease of short haul flights they can take lease of long haul aircrafts such as 777 or so. It is a matter of wish and business policy. Right now they are no 1 airlines in India so they have to fly long range also not just short range to become true no 1 airlines in India.
