A zookeeper has been mauled to death by a rare white tiger at an animal park in southern Japan, officials said today.
Akira Furusho, 40, was discovered bleeding from the neck inside the tiger enclosure at the Hirakawa Zoological Park in the southern city of Kagoshima.
Officials believe he was mauled by one of the zoo's four rare white tigers, media reports said.
