Indian airports get their first woman firefighter

印度机场迎来了第一位女消防员

NEW DELHI: The last all-male bastion of Indian aviation has fallen with the Airports Authority of India (AAI) appointing its first ever woman firefighter. The state-run authority currently has 3,310 firefighters at its airports as having fire service is a mandatory condition for planes to land anywhere.

随着印度机场管理局任命第一位女消防员，印度航空最后一个男性堡垒随之被攻下。

目前，印度机场管理局有3310名消防员。在世界各机场，消防是应对飞机着陆突发事态所必须保障的服务。

Now, Kolkata girl Taniya Sanyal will, in a month, join their ranks after completing training that she is undergoing in the city. Considered a profession only for men, AAI till recently did not have recruitment norms for women firefighters.

In contemporary world which has recognized that female guy has natural edge to counterpart male gender, that may be reason that segment which was dominated by male gender opening to female too gradually, remain to see whether these segment accommodate the fresher or not? Firefighting is challenging task for woman folks but already accommodated in Australia, which is very prone to wildfire
