BENGALURU/KOCHI: Though India's efforts to rescue citizens stranded in war-torn Yemen picked up pace on Monday, the tense wait continued for hundreds. In Aden, about 450km from Yemen's capital Sana'a, about 550 Indians were waiting to hear about the government's plan for their evacuation.
Yunus Shabandri, a native of Bhatkal in Karnataka and an employee of a rice trading company, took in a family from Bihar on Sunday.
印度公民滞留在饱受战争摧残的也门，虽然印度的救援努力得到加快，但是紧张等待救援的仍然有数百人。在距离也门首都大约450公里的亚丁，大约550名印度人正等着政府给他们安排的撤离计划。
尤努斯萨班德里是卡纳塔克邦巴特卡尔人，一家大米贸易公司的员工。周日，他收留了一个来自比哈尔邦的家庭。
"It's a matter of time before we run out of supplies," Shabandri told TOI from Aden. "I've some rice and basic supplies because I worked at a trading company, but others aren't doing that well. But more than anything, the government should tell us exactly how they're planning to get us out."

Shabandri was especially worried about his two daughters and son, all aged less than 10 years. "Standing at the balcony of the building we could see bombs drop," said Shabandri, in Yemen for the past eight years.
On Monday, India sent two passenger ships to the port of Djibouti to evacuate people. Air India flew its first flight to airlift hundreds of Indians.
萨班德里特别担心他的两个女儿和儿子，年龄都不到10岁。“站在大楼的阳台上，我们能够看到投弹。”萨班德里说道，他过去8年里一直呆在也门。

Why do our citizens have to wait till the last moment in such war torn countries. There was a lot of trouble in the last many months, but our greedy citizens choose to take the risk & stay in such conditions. Now they are at the mercy of the Govt for rescue..
