Learn to appreciate things. How many longggg years it took us for building Bandra-Worli sea link & whats the quality of it?
Request to Rediff.

This bridge was built in exactly 4 years flat. If our contractors and politicians were give a chance it could have taken at least 40 years. Mumbai sea link took more than 10 years to get completed. Some mini( by international standards) fly overs in Mumbai city take more than 10 years to get completed ( Suman Nagar, Santacruz-Chembur Link etc ) and even when they get completed pot holes appear on them in 7 days flat ( new Lalbaug flyover ).
Some projects like Trans Harbor link, Navi Mumbai Airport etc are only on paper since last 10-15 years.
Request Rediff not to publish such articles. Only purpose it will serve is that it will give us complex and give our chor politicians an excuse to visit China on “Study Tours”

India could not progress due to low mentality of people, if something Govt. wants to develop infrastructure then land not made available to the govt. and if it available then regional leaders comes for agitation to stop that project for doing politics for their vote bank, so at last result comes to Zero.
Therefore, India remains in mideaval times due to their people and politicians both.

change your mentality.if Govt..wants to develop infrastructure than nobody can oppose the Govt.. that’s the rule.if they need your land.you must give it to them.otherwise they can take your land without your permission.and without compensation .your politicians say that and you believe that.

Politicians – open your eyes

While China is developing very rapidly with the latest infrastructure, our Politicians are pulling India towards medevial periods by stopping projects such as The Metro in Hyderabad. I hope the mean Politicians should open their eyes and allow such projects which are very useful to the public at large.

Check ur own brain b4 questioig someones’ intelligence. They are made in China, thats why they are loosing market share. Check facts where Nokia, Lenovo & Dell5 years back and where they are now. U will get answers which will tickle ur brain and put some sens to it. Plus, there is something called humour which has nothign to do with living and non living thigs!

Well, check anyways and see Nokia has lost 50% market share coz of faulty handsets. Lenovo and Dell is same. Do you know how many people buy Lenono and Dell now? China will always remain a substandard production capital, and fools around the world will laud them. Do u know that most of the countries have already banned chinese products due to high hazardous materials and sub standard quality?

Dear Santosh I differ with you in the market share point. You expect they would have maintained their market share if they were made else where? But most brands tend to lose market share even if they are made at a single facility for the entire period. Check for any popular product which is maintaining its market share for so long a period. There may be a few but in general they lose.It doesn’t mean they are inferior but it denotes the quality of competition and changing brand loyalties of consumers.
And expanding market also causes this as new companies with much larger resources come to compete. Hence market share is not the only thing. But the total sales quantity dropped then you might say that there is problem. Here Nokia is losing because of huge competition from Samsung which is offering similar produts at a much better price. And I think China improved a lot during the past two decades in quality also.
China is super power because…

Some of the reasons of China becoming a superpower:
It controlled its population growth by practicing one child norm since 1979, thereby its populn is growing by 0.6% only, compared to 1.6% in India & 1.2% world average.
It enforced one Chinese language all over the country during cultural revolution. Earlier China had many scripts and languages. They also started teaching all subjects in Chinese. and use Chinese in all their official work. Hence language is not a handicap as in India, where anyone not knowing English is a second class citizen
Their infrastucture like roads, railway etc was well developed, when it opened up in 70’s. It was also a nuclear power in 70’s, as it tested nuclear bombs, when it was not banned. It had also developed long and short range missiles by then. All this was done initially getting technology from former USSR, though it practiced its own brand of communism after some time, their only friend in the world being Albania before opening up with ping pong diplomacy of Kissinger
They signed Dunkel agreement on their own terms much later than India, unlike India, where it was rarely discussed in parliament during Rao’s time
They had been following independent foreign policy without being afraid of USA or Russia
Non resident Chinese invested very enthusiastically in China, unlike NRI’s
China follows a mix of communism for society and capitalism for industry very cleverly. So decision making is fast and corr

good article,In India it is no use blaming only the politicians or the administartion for our ills,we the people are eually to blame, since we take pride in our democracy, itis we who elected our representatives.Indescipline, chalta hai attitude and increasing lack of fear of law is increasing in our citizens, this is evident from the way we use our roads and public property.Where as you can see fair amount of descipline and law abiding in china.
No doubt, our political leadershave mislead us since independence, but then they are nothing but just a reflection of us.

Our Congress Govt in Delhi Says they will not tolerate any interference in their working from any corner of society.
They have the mandate to do any thing in INDIA. Where ever, when ever they get the oppertunity to eat it is never missed.
Read the statement of person from Denmark, who dropped the arms in INDIA, it is a national shame.
I really do not know where our country will go. We have already lost our sovinierty indirectly to US.
People have seen the fate of Anna and Bawa Ramdev now I do not think any body will dare to make a similar attack on Govt.

Just for your information, i came to Kenya on a job for 2 years. Here most of industry, construction, manufacturing, trading, shops are owned by India Origin people who came to build kenya railway during British Rule.
Recently seen 100 of chinese companies entering into Kenya market for all consultancy, engineering, construction and many more. And they are out throwing all these Indian origin Kenyans.
