China launches Earth observation satellite Gaofen-13 02

中国发射地球观测卫星高分十三号02星

China on Friday sent a new Earth observation satellite into space from ichang Satellite Launch Center in southwest China's Sichuan Province. The satellite, Gaofen-13 02, was launched at 4:33 p.m. (Beiing Time) by a Long March-3B carrier rocket and successfully entered its planned orbit. The satellite will be mainly used in land surveys, crop yield estimation, environmental governance, meteorological early warning and forecasting, as well as comprehensive disaster prevention and mitigation.

3月17日，中国在西昌卫星发射中心向太空发射了一颗新的地球观测卫星。这颗名为“高分十三号02星”的卫星于北京时间下午4点33分由长征三号乙运载火箭发射，并成功进入预定轨道。该卫星将主要用于土地调查、作物产量估算、环境治理、气象预警和预报以及综合防灾减灾。
