The shared presence of a Pakistani leader and an Indian leader at any summit is always linked to hopes that they could meet and the frigid relations between the two countries would improve.

Here, Dawn.com looks into why Islamabad and New Delhi should actively seek to resolve their mutual suspicion, not least because the neighbours share a 3,000-km border. Experts note that everything — including Kashmir — can be resolved if there is a will in both capitals.

Pakistan must first sought out its huge political mess, learn to be a de ocratic country first, must respect the de ocratic norms first and only then it will be respected internationally. There are 2 main reasons why Indo-Pak friendship is not possible. (1) Pakistan's obsession with Kashmir and  (2) China's iron grip on Pakistan via CPEC, etc. As for trade Pakistan buys Indian goods through Dubai by paying more than it would if it bought directly from India. The over-arching reason is that Indo-Pak friendship will destroy the reason for the exstence of Pak establishment.

I agree that there is need for peace between Pakistan and India but peace can only be made without compromising on integrity and honour. There is no big brother or young brother when it comes to peace.

In short the point is that there is no need to make peace if both parties don't want to.

There will be need to make peace if both parties want to and both will agree on terms only then.

There is a bit hope for peace but overall it depends on both countries if they truly want to make peace or not ?

Pak shouldn't go for making any peace until Kashmir problem is resolved else it will create sudden problems. India, Modi and Israel shouldn't be trusted. Pak should keep an arms distance from them and keep trying to get Kashmir liberated as have been trying. China is Pak and Islam's true friend.

Instead of four reasons i can give one, Pakistan and India should make peace because Pakistan wants money, Aid and food. Nothing wrong in that though.
