India's Indigenous aircraft carrier Vikrant is all set for induction into the Indian Navy next month in Kochi. The Indian Navy is gearing up to give final touches to IAC Vikrant before its formal induction. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to induct the Made-in-India aircraft carrier. Built at an estimated cost of ₹20,000 crore, IAC Vikrant will counter China's presence in the Indian Ocean.

I think India needs upto 5 aircraft carriers, one near Gujarat, one near Odisha, one near Kerala, one near tamilnadu, one near Andaman and Nicobar to give a complete coastal defence. With estimate of about 15 to 20 fighter jets on each aircraft carrier that are Indian made to have a better integration with the indigenously built carriers. It will help in providing support and help to merchant ships also, if needed for safe and secure ship in the Indian Ocean.
