Tensions are running deep in Ukraine, even though Russia says it's not planning a Ukrainian invasion its troops are carrying out aerial drills just 75Kms away from the Ukrainian capital Kyiv. Palki Sharma Upadhyay brings you more updates from ground zero.

If the Russian don't invade, there will be a sigh of relief.  And then people will not care so much, that Russia took over Crimea. Also, if there was a war, then Ukraine will be changed so much, and there will always be pockets of resistance.  The war will not end in 3 days, with the fall of Kiev, but go on indefinitely.

I really wonder if Ukrainians (especially the youth there demonstrating) are having realistic expectations about joining EU or NATO.  Even as Nato member, they would still feel the shadow of the big brother. And even without the EU, they still could have a lot of trade. The UK is so close to the heart of the EU and they were so happy, they left.
