PM Modi's heartwarming gesture: 100 jute footwear sent to Kashi Vishwanath Temple workers
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has sent 100 pair of jute footwear for those working at Kashi Vishwanath Dham in Varanasi. He recently found that most people working at Kashi Vishwanath Dham performed their duty bare-footed because it is forbidden to wear footwear made with Leather or rubber in the temple premises. These include priests, people performing seva, security guards, sanitation workers and others. Government sources said that Modi immediately got 100 pairs of jute footwear procured and sent over to Kashi Vishwanath Dham so that those performing their duties don’t have to stay bare-footed in the chilling cold.

Beautiful gesture. He is doing things his own way. Unique.
He is indeed a modern day messiah. His philosophy of life is too deep to understand for a cosmetic materialistic person. He is not only a hindu at all , he is nar Indra.
All mandirs in India must make a rule to ban rubber and plastic slippers and allow jute slippers which will give indigenous manufacturing a huge push
yeah that's a good idea
Whatever chappals are not allowed inside the temples, not here in south india . We need to wash our feet before entering temples. Certain temples don’t allow men entry with shirt / banian on , they need to be bare chested . Temples are supposed to be energy centre were bodies absorb these energy. Women use silk saree & silver gold jewellery to temples with same purpose . And women / men dont cover their heads either .
@Preethi Shetty same, even here , in MP fabric made chappals aren't allowed the reason is not that your chappal are not clean but you need to be bare feet to absorb the possitive energy according to believes
we know how cold are the marble floors in winters , I hope god would also aprove that I think it is a good move by him
@Rishabh Chaudhary off course I totally appreciate this gesture to labourers. Their needs have to be protected . I don’t expect them to work bare foot at all , it was a well thought out idea to send jute , being a appropriate material within temple premises.

It's out of box solution -it's indeed revelation but well thought of kind gesture by honourable PM.
Some people are complaining about the numbers of footwear. Its not about the footwear, its about the gesture coming from the PM.

A person who has worked in tea stall to being the prime minister of the largest de ocracy in the world knows how to give respect to the dignity of the workers.
That's why he's the best PM

In the west modi would have been eye candy for the left and animal rights activists for this gesture with overwhelming support but in India things are different and so he is the sharp feng for the leftist's eyes
Indian liberals and leftists are mental slave of west. They can't breathe without being first validated from them.
