Olympic Medal is not one day affair or one year affair. Its a struggle for every sportsperson to go through and to get that glory.
Shoers and archers are experts at giving excuses. Call them back and give a public flogging. Next only genuine medal prospects will want to go.
Completely Agree with you . If we Invest even half the money that we spent on cricket which is not even known by half of the world, then we'll able to perform much better . We are not even wng World Cups and champions in cricket on consistent basis. So , we better focus on Olympic Games.
I am sur eno one goes to olympics with a belief that I am going to loose, thay all want to win. let's cheer and not criticize
We Indians stand by our team! They play for their own nation. They don't go to serve other countries for money.
Best of luck everyone. Give your best. That's all.
Dr Ahmed Khan
It's best we stop sending athletes to Olympics and embarrassing ourselves on the world stage. Other option is that if our athletes come back without a medal, then we can give them 20 lashes with CHABUK, in a public square, for shaming the nation.
Play only cricket…1.3 billion population and it makes me immensely proud that only women are among the medals if you see past trend. What are men doing in olympics?
Till date performance of entire Indian squad gone to Tokyo, is poor except one female weightlifter.
This ppl can't match school players of foreign countries let alone wng....qaulifying till medal matches is also diifcult we can only be above Nepal and Pakistan
One medal is enough as usual, we should call them back
Lose or win, we need to support them , at least for the next gen. We have seen good progress in last decade. We now have world class shoers, boxers, wrestlers, archers, badminton, tennis, hockey, TT players and athletes hitherto unheard of... just a little support and perseverance, we will also get great results. .
A population of 1.3 billion just as failed with covid, failed with drone attack now failing in olympics. Its not only go nments fault , its also the living style and culture of the country. But if you ask our go nment they will tell you how great we were in Ryana stories and how lord Hanuman built the bridge etc etc .
Useless schedule. Before we switch on the TV every morning, all Indian players get eliminated
One go to Olympics to win medals and bring glory to country. With so many participants from India sad to see poor performance year on year in last 100 years, this shows only lack of capability, intentions and easy going attitude with participants. Looks like they are playing to loose than win also looks like they are happy to loose (look at their instragram and Twitter)....
you must understand the spirit of sportsmanship. It is not just about wng or losing.Olympics being the sporting event of pre eminent standards is of that legacy only because of participation.
Cor ion in sports is rampant in India.
Why con trate on Olympics only? India cannot compete in any sport which is played world wide. For example football. If Iran or Japan can compete in World Cup why can't we?
Sindhu is disrespecting our culture by playing with shameful tiny clothes. She can only win if she wears a saree and respects our culture. Otherwise there is no chance.
Sindhu won Silver medal at last olympics by pure Fluke and Luck due to opponents injury and match stopped. This time sindhu will fall flat on her face and bite the dust and know where she really stands. She is the most overhyped gulti girl ever.
