Why do so many people regard China as a developed country?

Make some people rich first, then let those rich people help others.
The result is the development in China is not balance now. Some places (East coast) are very rich as developed countries. Some places (middle provinces and west area) are poor as other developing countries.
Rich villages in east coast:
Poor villages in west area:
And Chinese go nment has another policy: transfer payment ( 转移支付）
It is a policy that the central go nment can control the budget of local go nments. So the rich provinces have to help the poor provinces.
For example, if you are a citizen in Shanghai, your tax will not only be used in Shanghai, but probably used in Henan, Anhui, Tib, Inner Mongolia, etc.
Transfer payment is the way to make the development more balance. But actually China is still a developing country, so it cannot make everything good.

I don't see many people regard China as a developed country. On the contrary, I find more people tend to think of China as a backward and underdeveloped country, nevertheless, neither of which is right in this respect.
Frankly I am tired to see the same picture of skyscrapers in Lujiazui, Shanghai constantly flooding in my feeds, it literally proves nothing at all but just a image project. Remember that even North Korea has an enormous international airport and magnificent buildings in Pyongyang.

1.China is a big country, not because it has the largest population and the rank third wild landscape. It’s diversity maybe one of the factors.
2. As it’s fast economic grows, it wants to export more soft power. Panada and kungfu maybe one of them.
3.China is now a very creative country, it has a lot of opportunities to forign companies and international workers.
4. At present, the most important power is you can’t live a good life without MADE IN CHINA.
because of the high speed of its economy development. however, no one can deny that China is a influencing country. But, the people who live in China, most of them know that, it is China is still a developing country. many kids lack of access to education, some people are worried about how to avoid starving next day.

China is a big nation with huge populations, huge investments on tech and economy, and have a lot of resources, NOT TO MENTION that it is rapidly developing and that it is US's one of, if not the number one debt buyer. Also cities like Shanghai, Beijing, Guangzhou, Hong Kong, and some other secondary cities like Nanjing are thriving economical centers and have extremely high tech institutions and developments.

No country is especially civilised or developed compared to the talent and aspirations of the people.
However China is the most ancient continuous polity in human history by some margin.

just because china is the first industrialized developing country where overproduction happened, the west have never see that happened in a developing country before.chinese industrial capacity far exceeds china’s demand，that’s why china want to develope One Belt One Road.
It has a huge manufacturing base and glittering cities. A country which invests in infrastructure heavily as China will not fail to impress a visitor. But it is still not considered a developed country by international standards.
