外文标题：Nawaz Sharif approves Pakistan-China trade corridor plan
ISLAMABAD: Pakistani Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Friday principally approved the proposed alignment of Pakistan-China trade corridor, officials said.
He, however, directed for further evaluation of the proposal in terms of time and cost efficiency.
Pakistan-China economic corridor, is the future of the country and it will connect Pakistan with China, making Pakistan a hub of transit trade in the region, reported Xinhua citing Sharif as saying.
Sharif made the remarks while meeting his ministers to discuss the project from Kashgar to Khunjerab and Gwadar, a statement from the prime minister's office said.
Experts are of the view that the corridor would transform Pakistan into a hub of trade and commerce as it envisages establishing several economic zones and physical links connecting Pakistan and China as well as the region.
The project is expected to cost around $18 billion.
In July, the two countries signed several agreements following a meeting between Sharif and his Chinese counterpart Li Keqiang in Beijing.
The 2,000-km road and rail link, connecting Chinese northwestern city of Kashgar to southwestern Pakistani port of Gwadar, was among the pacts inked by the two countries.
Exciting times ahead for Pakistan, soon to be Chinastan.

Strategically good move. Especially to reach Middle eastern countries, China could use land route to pakistan then sea route to ME/Europe or africa.

Good for Pakistan, they will know value of Chinese goods

Pakistan is using Chinese goods for the last 50 years and the quality is excellent. Just like Chinese built MiG 21s with super performance while Russian built MiG 21s crash every month. Hindu Blackies are supplied with fake Chinese stuff and factory rejected cheap junk like Blackies themselves.

This corridor is a threat to india and the moving china support is one of the reasons for the pakisthani combative posture of pakisthan at the border

Pakistan had agreed to give MFN status to India long ago but seems to have gone back on its commitment and now is not inclined to do what it had promised. On the other hand Pakistan is busy giving all sorts of concessions to China the latest being a very ambitious project right from Pak-China border to Pak's port Gwadar. Pakistan as usual sees more profit in having the best of relations, trade, commerce, military and others with China but wants concessions from India as a price for peaceful relations between the two countries. Pakistan must understand that its overtures to China won't be conducive to Indo-Pak friendship as its leaders think.

Actually what he has approved is a 'terror corridor plan' to be executed by Islamic and Maoist insurgents.
