外文标题：It''s Springtime In Shanghai- Part IV
In my last blog I posted many pictures of Century Park. I am happy to note that many people have liked those. If I say that Shanghai is one continuous garden it will indeed be an understatement. The whole city is so aesthetically laid that it's like one conituous park. The avenues, the boulvards are immensely beautiful. I feel I can't do justice with my amaturish clicking of pictures. The landscape is so well designed that I believe the whole planning is done on the drawing board where many people with deep love for nature and sense of pride pour in their best before executing it. And all this needs a lot of care and upkeep. To save the trees like pine, which cannot stand the harsh winter bamboo chataayees are wrapped around them. The flowers are grown at the nurseries and overnight all the city squares are laid with freshest ones. Every week you find a new landscape. The hedges are all trimmed and pruned. The tree lines are so well designed that the spring seems to be cascading. The hedges are multi-decked with all plants lending different hues as if vying for excellence. The maintenace crew is on the roads all day picking bits of scrap, cigaratte buts and bits piece by piece. People themselves are very conscious. They just don't toss the wrappers and packs out of the cars they travel in but retain them and discharge those in the bins. Let me post some more pictures to lend credence to my statement.
