外文标题：PM Li Keqiang faces litmus test in Pakistan, China’s ‘iron brother’
BEIJING: Chinese Premier Li Keqiang faces the challenge of meeting conflicting demands for his attention and Beijing’s purse when he lands in Pakistan on Wednesday at the end of his India visit, his first foreign tour after assuming office.
Li needs to pay equal attention to the aspirations of newly elected prime minister Nawaz Sharif and the armed forces led by Gen Ashfaq Pervez Kayani, sources said adding that the Chinese leader would have to tread a cautious path as there are grave differences between the two camps. On the other hand, Li is the guest of president Asif Ali Zardari whose Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) got a bloody nose in the recent elections.
China will try to sell small helicopters and airplanes to Pakistan during Li’s visit, sources said. Pakistan has always been the ready testing ground for defence-related technologies from China.
But Pakistan will seek its piece of the cake with a range of demands including funds for an international airport in Gwadar, tracks to connect the port to Pakistan’s railway system and a national motorway in Sindh province, the sources said. Pakistani foreign ministry has itself given broad indications about its expectations from Beijing on further development of Gwadar, which has been seen as a ‘Chinese gift’ in the first place.
Pakistan has always been keen to make the most of China’s geopolitical compulsions. It has obtained funds from Beijing to widen the Karakoram Highway connecting Xinjiang to Pak-Occupied Kashmir and building the Gwadar port.
Almost coinciding with Li’s visit to Islamabad, Chinese geologists claimed to have found a huge gold reserve of 53 tonnes worth $3.2 billion in the troubled Xinjiang province, bordering Pakistan.
The gold find in addition to gas, coal and other minerals adds to Xinjiang’s geo-political importance for China which has been wary of activities of Taliban-backed militants in the province. Sources said Islamabad has gained from Chinese fears of Pak-based elements stoking a bloody separatist movement in the strategic region.
Islamabad is also trying to gain from Beijing’s attempt to develop the bordering province and link it to Central Asia. A move is also afoot to build a rail line connecting Xinjiang to Turkey and them to rest of Europe.
“Iron Brother” will soon be “rusted”…don’t worry

Begging is an art as well a career, Pakistan is master of both, if Pakistan did not have this unique foxy trait, Pakistan would have gone to dogs already, this called ‘hath ki safaee’. Pakis leaders are masters in tricks, Indian leaders are masters in corruption.

Pakistan is an Islamic state and as such is well versed in begging. Islamics in Pakistan will do anything to get some goodies thrown at them by Chinese. They survive by begging from USA and now China as well. They also export their women to India to work as Islamic prostitute to earn money and feed Islamics in Pakistan.

Pakistan is not beholden to China. It is said that Pakistan has more nuclear weapons than India. If she has achieved that she can certainly find arms sellers from a growing group of nations. It is up to China to out compete them if she needs Pakistan as an ally against India.

China needs pakistan, as much as pakistan needs China. China is surrounded by American bases, Japan, south Korea, India, Central Asian American bases, Afghan bases. China cannot afford to loose pakistan at all.

A biased and prapoganda article where things are seen through indian glasses. Pakistan do not get any aid from China. All chinese investments are loans. Gawader is a one very important agreement for China itself as by getting the oil supply through Gwader and then transported by train or road, china saves 11 days of its oil delivery time from the middle east. Building connecting roads in a couple patches or building a rail track to bridge a gap some where, is their own interest.

Again Muslim majority state Xinjiang in China labelled as ‘gold, oil & gas rich state’, most such naturally rich Muslim states are discovered to have wealth under their feet! This is not only God’s blessings for them but a test as well wether they give the due rights of the poor & destitute nations of the world or not.
This wealth is the real bottom line reason for conspiracies against Muslims in the world. It seems from the natural resources distribution that probably Muslims & not the Jews are the chosen people God. Sibling rivalry brings the Israelis(Jews) to the worst of their enmity with Muslims. You can get human beings killed by one excuse or the other, but what can you do to nature?

LOL, are you having some delusions f00l ?!?! Till today’s date, no doubt Saudi Arabia is world’s largest producer of gas… but by the next 5 years, do you know which country will be the largest producer of Oil and Gas ?!?! US of A !!! Take that !!! When Gulf and Arab reserves are over, US will open their lid from oil wells, the amount and quantity of reserves are so large with US that it can easily survive for next millennium. What gulf and arab countries are standing today is, all on the basis of Oil, Soon those oil wells are going get dried up / finish… then what ?!?! Come to d@dd y then !!! 😛

We must not poke nose or feel jealous if they work with each other and strengethen there strategic Ties. WE need to look at our problems, We Could do Nothing when china entered ladkah except issuing statements in new delhi. Please wake up Indians and stop ignoring the facts,

Well Bro, I to an extent disagree with you. When they entered Ladakh our army give many options to Govt. like diplomacy, Border hotline, meeting at different army & ministry level and at the end USE OF MILITARY. Our govt. choose DIPLOMACY ahead of anything else. Not that we cannot fight them, but it was evident that the issue will be resolved by talks. So ur right by saying that how they came 19 km inside BUT we could not do anything is … WRONG. 🙂 Cheers

Indian (India) replies to yaqoot 10 hrs ago
hahah… NO POINT… 1969, 1971, Kargil war …was won with conventional weapons. All this proves that Pak is not even 1% a threat to india… to defeat PAK without nukes, India will take not more that 2 weeks, and with nukes, like Agni, Brahmos etc. it would not even take half a day… Accept the fact, pak EVEN WITH CHINA SUPPORT is no threat to INDIA. Look at the vast Indian Navy… even china & US have respect for it. Pak does’nt even have a decent NAVY… so ur point is BASELESS. Look you & pakistan givt. knows it very well but if you don’t want to admit it, nothing is goint to change. 🙂
