中国春运被称为全世界最大的人口流动。印度人不以为然。面对中国春运,世界上也仅有印度人能有如此魄力表示不屑。有的印度网民将市内通勤的“地铁式”火车运输也算进去,驳斥称印度仅仅在孟买每天就运送超过724万人。自认印度天天上演“春运”的印度网民称“我们有必要为这样的日常问题而做任何准备吗”。

BEIJING: Chinese trains will carry more people than the entire 200-million strong population of Uttar Pradesh, India’s most populous state, during the 40-day Spring Festival beginning Sunday. The daily passenger traffic during festival time will average 5.88 million, which is a lot more than the population of Norway, Singapore and the United Arab Emeritus.

The rush will mean trains packed like sardines and might see a repeat of scenes in past years that include heated arguments, problems of food and toilets. Some people wore special adult sized diapers because it is often not possible to reach the toilets in overcrowded trains.

北京:在星期天开始的40天春运期间,中国火车将运送的人数超过印度人口最多的邦——北方邦的2亿多人口。春运期间,每天的客流量将平均588万人,这比挪威、新加坡和阿联酋的人口多很多。

客流高峰意味着火车塞得像沙丁鱼一样,可能重现过去几年的情景,包括激烈争辩、吃饭和上厕所问题。因为经常不可能在过度拥挤的火车里走到厕所,一些人穿特殊的成人尿布。

The ministry of railways is trying to check the sale of fake train tickets by implementing a system of real-name booking using identity cards. But it is worried about what a spokesman described as “the conflict remains between passenger demand and railway capacity.”

Regarded as the world’s biggest passenger movement, the festival rush is largely caused by migrant workers and students in four highly developed areas– Beijing, Guangzhou, Shanghai and Hangzhou– China returning to their homes in the eastern and northern parts of the giant nation.

The ministry expects to carry 235 million passengers, a 6 per cent increase over last year’s Spring Festival season between January 8 and February 16. The country has an estimated 200 million migrant workers.

Though long distance buses and airlines provide much needed support, millions of workers and students are unable to get tickets during the festival period. The Spring Festival, or the Chinese Lunar New Year, falls on January 23. But people begin leaving for their homes much ahead of the festival and return to their work much after it is over.

The ministry has arranged for extra trains in anticipation of the rush, but challenges remain because demand far outstrips supply, the spokesman said.

在1月8日到2月16日期间,铁道部预期运送2.35亿乘客,比去年春运增长6%。该国有大约2亿农民工。

虽然长途大巴和航空公司提供急需的支持,数以百万计的工人和学生在春运期间买不到票。春节,或者说中国农历新年是在1月23日。但人们早在春节很久前就开始回家,并在春节结束很久后回去工作。

What’s the big deal about China moving 5.88 million daily during the festival? We have a daily mass moving festival in Bombay alone, they move over 7.24million (trusting Wiki’s figures)

An international air traffic nightmare – so many chinese moving around and clogging the airplanes outside China. The air-ticket prices go up and and there is no seat availability. Just a public nightmare.

这是国际航空运输噩梦——如此多中国人出国并塞满飞机。飞机票价格上涨,并且没有座位。真是公众噩梦。

well said. so, one can imagine the standard of India media and their journalists, reporters etc….all are below standards. none have journalistic professionalism and ethics. makes me so proud to be indian. jai ho.

    那是小民抽疯似的阵痛,且能让他天天痛!遏制这样的阵痛是中国政府一直在做的事情,假如天天如此按中国政府的德性那是要大干快上滴。其间的问题是存在滴,但是他一直做一直做是不能否认滴.今天中国的交通状况如何小民是有体会滴,象三锅那样对此事习以为常的所谓公民其实连猪狗都不如是令没有人权的中国人感到不可思议滴。象孟买那样的整天像躲避战乱的壮观景象中国没人权的小民是要把政府骂得象孙子似滴。

  2. 印度那种运力就算了吧。至少中国,人们能在车厢里度过。就中国春节那温度,还挂票呢。在车厢外坐上几千公里,不死也去掉半条命了。

  3. 笨蛋阿三,他们的铁道部把地铁的人次也算在里面了,中国可是仅把城际铁路运输的人次算里头。。。。。。还孟买哪,就他那个十分之一上海的面积和可怜的基础设施,真心能比得过上海的地铁运送人次??!就那么说吧,孟买有几条地铁线路,隔多久一列,穷人那么多每列平均运送多少人次?能比的上上海??更不用说广州、北京等的地铁运送人次还没加上去哪!还每天春运哪,就那平均时速60公里不到还经常长时间误点的列车,又能运送多少人次?!白痴。
