China’s bullet train is set to go abroad for the first time as the country plans to export 228 bullet trains to Malaysia to develop intercity transportation for Kuala Lumpur, official media said.

So far, this is the biggest deal signed for the Chinese domestically-made bullet train, government-run People’s Daily quoted China South Locomotive & Rolling Stock Corporation Limited as saying.

中国动车(三泰虎注:最高时速140公里)将首次走出国门。据官方媒体报道,228辆动车组将出口马来西亚,作为吉伦坡城际运输的主力。

人民日报援引中国南方机车和车辆有限公司的话,这笔交易是迄今中国国产动车签约的最大订单。

It is specially coordinated according to the track gauge standard in Malaysia and is three tonnes lighter than other trains of the same kind, saving approximately 20,000 kilowatt hours of electricity per year.

As the transportation hub of the entire country, Kuala Lumpur shares the largest percentage of public transportation trip.

After put into operation, the bullet train will provide considerable convenience to the local people, it said.

动车是为马来西亚的轨距特别订制的,比国内同类型的动车轻三吨,每年省电大约2万度。

吉隆坡作为整个国家的交通枢纽,占有最大的公共交通出行比重。

动车投入运行后,将给当地市民提供相当大的便利。

Early this month, China operationalised its high-speed train between Beijing and Shanghai, covering over 1,300 km in less than five hours.

The bullet trains are operating between several cities in China for over an year.

The announcement to export a large set of bullet trains to Malaysia came as China and Japan were involved in a fresh row over the Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) of the high-speed trains.

本月的早些时候,中国投入运行了北京到上海的高铁,跑完1300多公里仅用不到5个小时。

高铁在中国的几个城市之间已经运行了一年多。

Japanese company Kawasaki Heavy Industries Ltd. threatened to take action if China files for patents on high-speed trains made using Japanese technologies.

A spokesman of the Chinese Ministry of Railways (MOR) Wang Yongping said on Thursday that China’s high-speed rail technologies are much better than those used by Japan’s Shinkansen Line.

“The Beijing-Shanghai high-speed railway and Japan’s Shinkansen line cannot be mentioned in the same breath, as many of the technological indicators used by China’s high-speed railways are far better than those used in Japan’s Shinkansen,” Wang said, rejecting the Japanese accusation of pirating the technology.

日本川崎重工威胁说,如果中国在海外为使用日本技术的高铁申请专利,将考虑提起诉讼。

中国铁道部的发言人王勇平星期四称,中国高铁技术比日本新干线使用的技术要好很多。

王勇平在驳斥所谓的盗版日本技术的指责时说:“日本的新干线不能和京沪高铁相提并论,因为中国高铁的很多技术指标要比日本新干线的指标高得多”。

Don’t forget that the 99% of IIT guys left India, they made space for the rest of us here. India has a huge population and it is crowded everywhere.
Also, many of these NRI remit money home which helps our economy too. India’s foreign remit ranks #1 in the world.

We should be proud of producing and export IIT guys.

别忘了,99%的印度理工学院毕业的家伙离开印度,他们为我们腾出了空间。印度拥有巨大人口,到处都拥挤。

There is no innovation in this its just a licensed local production bought off at a stiff cost. Now China is trying to rip off Siemens saying they have upgraded the technology indigenously which they can’t prove at WTO. So! in all probability this is just a hot gas.

opening at the end of 2011, and the new (second) Guangzhou-Shenzhen HSR will start operation in August 2011, thus making the world’s longest HSR measure 2500km in total. Beijing to Shenzhen in less than 9 hours by train beginning 2012. There are several other sections of HSR lines, such as the one connecting Hangzhou and Ningbo, the one linking Fuzhou and Shenzhen(together with the Shanghai-Hangzhou line, it is China’s first coastal HRS with a total length of over 1500km), will also open for traffic later this year. The 2500-km record will be broken when the Beijing-Shijiazhuang-Taiyuan-Lanzhou-Wulumuqi HSR becomes operational in a few years.

India shall import Chinese high speed trains too, and stop funding defence and allocate funds to allow chinese help to develop India’s infrustrure, make friend with China….this is only way to survive….

印度也应该进口中国高速火车,停止国防开支并拨款让中国人帮助建设印度的基础设施,和中国交朋友…这是唯一的生存出路…

why to worry we have our airlines and we mostly work on internet and hence we dont need to bullet trains so just stop your communism idealogies which even china has made liberal, we have better problems and different vision

China is certainly next super power, its bad news for india because corrupt india will be a sitting duck for chinese if ever they decide to use force against india.
It is alledged that more than 70% hardware of indian armed forced in unusable given the corruption.

Very well said. You have echoed my sentiments. I also fear the same that the corrupt politicians will sell our beloved country and every passing day we are falling behind the Chinese. The politicians only hide themselves under the so called constitution and they are the ones to break all that has been enshrined in the constitution
