原文标题：'China will not oppose India's UN seat bid'
NEW DELHI: Seeking a cooperative relationship with India to build an Asian century, a senior Chinese official Wednesday underlined that China will not pursue a policy to obstruct or oppose India's efforts to get a permanent seat in the UN Security Council.
"We welcome a more positive and important role by India in the United Nations," Huang Huaguang, an official of the international department of the Communist Party of China, said in an interaction at the Observer Research Foundation, a think tank.
We don't have a policy to obstruct or oppose India's efforts to get a permanent seat in the UN Security Council, Hu, director general, Research Office, at international department of the CPC, said when asked about China's position on India's candidacy for a permanent seat in the UNSC.
He added that the ongoing debate about the reforms of the UN Security Council is chaotic and should be better coordinated.
Although it has backed a bigger role for India in the UN's top decision-making body, China has vacillated and has yet to declare its support for India's bid to join the UNSC.
Huang is part of the Chinese delegation which is currently visiting New Delhi to apprise the Indian leadership and opinion-makers about broad contours of China's economy and foreign policy under the new dispensation that is expected to take charge in March next year.
He also underscored the need for better strategic communication with India and stressed on resolving conflicts through dialogue. "The rise of us (India and China) together will be a very important phenomenon on the world stage," he said.
We are two large developing and populous countries and we should have better strategic communication and stronger economic relations, he said.

Those who believe that China will do what she is telling are living in a fool's paradise, China has always done contrary to what she has said!

Headline 'China will not oppose India's UN seat bid'. Is this Chinese official policy? Don't think so. Just last week, China changed their map to include parts of India. This statement from an Chineese official is unofficial, for sure.

Not to oppose India's U N seat bid by China a welcome development.

Its wonderful decision. Wish China should support for India's permanent membership. India is fast developing, populous, democratic country who has potentials and acumen to play more vital and responsible role in UN. Hope China would play very positive role in supporting India's request,

India should wait for the day as and when it gets a permanent seat in UN with the help of China. If India is so hopeful, then we should be having no dispute with China on our borders with that country. Once again Hindi Chini Bhai Bhai.I am still optimistic.

Mr. Huang, it is very difficult for us to know your mind. Our first prime minister JL Nehru trusted your Mao more than anybody being our neigbour. Hindi Chini bhai bhai was his slogan. Whole India believed in him and your country. We are back stabbed by your own country. So how can we trust you, Now it is your turn try to win our confidence we will be your closest friend then onwards. Regarding the support for security council seat for India, it is your turn now to move the proposal in UN and make it happen. You should remember, India was once offered that seat by the western countries just to avoid your country, but our prime minister humbly came out from the race and nominated your countries name as a good neighbour. Hope you understand this truth and show your move now and win hour hearts and see the difference how Indians will behave with you.

only conduct of Dragon after change of leadership will clear the doubts?
if one wants to understand the chinese mindset/ strategies, read James Clavell. They play for long term. They believe in duping/ fooling the other side on their intentions and slowly slowly keep working on their plan. India is getting fooled by such ministrations from China... we need to be very very cautious

I can still remember the Chou En Lai/Mao Tse Tung Hindi,Chini Bhai Bhai mantra in the 60's. Then they attacked and hundreds of young Jawans lost their lives. A long time has passed since and the world moves on. The younger generation in both countries are now more educated and aware. India has since realised that Gandhian principles do not always work - thus the Defence capabilities got a much needed boost. Can the differences be put aside and both India and China work to the advantage of both nations.

Only if China's intention is genuine and not mere sweet talking while in India .......... a sure first step would be to withdraw claims on Indian territory of Arunachal Pradesh ........... unless that happens India must not lower its guard against these untrustworthy Chinese ............

This is not he matter of trust or mistrust rather the question of civilizational coperation which is going on since last 5000 yrs and by and large both are living side by side peacefully. In Indian history only two rulers one MD TUGLAK AND 2ND J L NEHRU have send their army in Himalays and both lost their army. MURYANS AND OTHERS SEND THE BUDDHISTS MONKS AND SUCCESEDED. FOOLISHNESS NEVER SUCCESED AND A MAN'S FOOLISHNESS USED TO DENT THE IMAGE OF NOT ONLY NATIONS BUT CIVILIZATIONS ALSO.

Anything positive is welcome. The new leadership in China is making the right moves. Likewise, I hope, the new AAP government comes to power and utilizes the political atmosphere created by China to take the country to the next level. Cong and BJP are busy doing petty politics. They would never look at the macro political picture.

China follows the Policy of "One Step Forward,Two steps back". One one hand Chinese are saying they support Indias bid but just few days before they showed whole Arunachal and Aksai Chin as part of China in new Passports and is still issuing stapled passports to citizens of Arunachal. China has usurped territory from Tajikistan,Pakistan,Russia,Bhutan,Mongolia and India. It is embroiled in serious territorial disputes with Japan,Philippines,Malasia, Indonesia,Vietnam, and Brunei. It is an expansionist hegemonic power and will never want to share power unless it realizes that conflict is futile and counter productive. India needs to be strong as only strength respects strength!!!
