外文标题：China rejects US report on human trafficking
BEIJING: China has rejected a US move to downgrade it in the ranking of nations making significant efforts to control human trafficking, saying Washington's assessment lacked objectivity.
Chinese foreign ministry spokeswoman Hua Chunying said her country attached "great importance to fighting all crimes of trafficking". "We believe that the US side should take an objective and impartial view of China's efforts and stop making unilateral or arbitrary judgements of China," she said.
In its report on human trafficking, the US drew attention to continuing cases of child and adult forced labour, and sex trafficking of women and girls. But it acknowledged China had taken steps to raise awareness and work with international organizations. "Despite these modest signs of interest in anti-trafficking reforms, the Chinese government did not demonstrate significant efforts to comprehensively prohibit and punish all forms of trafficking and to prosecute traffickers," the US report said.
It said trafficking was "pronounced" among China's internal migrant population, and the country's one-child policy had produced more boys than girls, fuelling demand for prostitution and foreign brides.
China had earlier rejected a US report on human rights and come out with its own report showing huge human-rights violation of minorities in the US.

By blaming China in a modest way the US is trying to assert themselves as free from all. It seems to be a matter of respect for each other.

It is well known that abject poverty in Chinese rural areas families resort to selling daughters. Communist govt stage manages lot of statistics to paint rosy picture of China. But the truth is otherwise. Majority of Chinese are poor. And Rural Urban divide is such that one day it may have civil war.
