外文标题：China PM loved watching 3 Idiots
NEW DELHI: While Chinese Premier Li Keqiang came across as loquacious and jovial in his interaction with Indian leaders - a far cry from several other Chinese leaders who have visited here in the past - he also won hearts with his knowledge of India.
Li had his Indian interlocutors in splits when he told them how he had loved watching Bollywood movie 3 Idiots. Unlike in Japan, Bollywood movies have only recently started to attract eyeballs in China. The Chinese leader said that his daughter was so impressed with the movie that she made him watch it. His daughter, according to his profile on BBC, is reported to be studying in the US.
Li also spoke about Steve Jobs' biography and the Apple co-founder's experiences in the country in his salad days. The Chinese Premier spoke about how Jobs had travelled to India in search of enlightenment. Jobs, though, had few flattering things to say about India describing his India adventure as disturbing. Li is visiting the TCS office in Mumbai on Tuesday.
While Li had travelled to India in the 80s as the chief of a youth delegation ” when he got a chance to visit the Taj Mahal - his interest in India was rekindled after he rose to become the governor of Henan province. The province is home to the oldest Buddhist temple - called the Baima or White Horse temple ” in China. This is where he developed some interest in Indian culture and heritage.
Earlier in the day, in what is his first visit abroad as the Chinese Premier, Li seemed at home during the official reception at the Rashtrapati Bhawan. Neither the searing Delhi heat nor the tedious ceremony seemed to mar his enthusiasm as he addressed the media there. With PM Manmohan Singh waiting by his side, he spoke for over 10 minutes about relations between the two countries. Not for Li the routine couple of sentences from a visiting dignitary at the event. At the end of it all, he also enquired from media professionals whether or not what he had said was going to make it to the front page of Indian newspapers. Much to the amusement of Indian journalists, he also promised to ensure ``banner headlines'' for Singh when the Indian PM visits China later this year.
Maybe I'd be more enamoured if China had not recently retired to grab a big chunk of Indian territory. This is just a well executed farce and our puppet prime minister is too stupid to realize it and his Italian puppet master is too busy looting the country to bother caring.

It is not happy moment to be pleased for his knowledge on India. we must fear that they have fully concentrated on India . So naturally they will collect all the information about India. Our government is busy in scams where is the time to concentrate on neighbor China. we must feel sad about our team headed by PM
Li is certainly indicating a shift in policy towards India. Pakis are probably getting anxious.

Where is the India that Li admires and the India that Steve Jobs visited. Is that India still alive? The India that we know today is ruled by corrupt sycophants who bend over backwards to please -off all countries-- Pakistan.

"Li wins hearts with his knowledge of India", whose hearts ? Of course he has knowledge of India, criminally corrupt leadership, dysfunctional bureaucracy, trillions of poor man's dollars in Italian/Swiss banks, militarily weak (power comes with strong economy) can not stop small incursions.

Chinese Premier Li may have won hearts of India by his abundant knowledge about Bollywood movies and Buddhism but what we are concerned is about his geographical knowledge of India, especially the Laddakh region where he seems to have set his eyes. So India can't just rest on its laurels of just talking tough by our PM to the Chinese counterpart.

Winning hearts doesn't implies watching and liking bollywood films. The bollywood is making the benefits not the Indian mass. And btw with the rate of piracy I doubt even Chinese would buy original Indian movie DVDs to watch Indian movies. It's so ridiculous to put a title to such an article I was freaking expecting that Mr. Li added content about India on wikipedia

Does he know that Indians lived as slaves for more than 1100 years to invaders and also glorify the invasion and invader rules?

We have read many stories in India relating to sweet talk first and back stabbing latter. About China we have gathered experience in 1962 Chinese war. It is difficult to believe China. India has to take extra care dealing with China particularly opening the gate for trade.

indian (india) replies to Prasanta Das
correct. china uses Sun-Tzu art of war even now in foreign policies. india should be very careful in dealing with it. but it is unlikely that our ministers and bureaucrats will deal with them competently.

I feel Chinese Premier is not only jovial, but super cool. But still a way to go for bridging the trust deficit created by China since last 60 years and still going-on with the same mentality

Usually Chines Premier is a cool guy. He is just a symbolic figure without any powers. He has no control over Army (PLA) He does not know anything about border intrusion. He is actually like a salesman or a marketring executive. His job is to imrove trade. He has no role to play in Chinese internal security. The communist party inner circle hold all the power. Premier is just a show piece.

This new PM seems to be from next generation but we can not forget that he humiliated us recently in Laddakh. China will only respect a strong India not a weak one

Search for '3 Idiots movie' on Twitter and see how many people from across the globe have seen it.
Initially, without seeing the content, I thought that those could be Sonia, MMS and Rahul. But unfortunately, we have only mostly idiots in congress ( CORRUPT ).
