外文标题：As Antony flies to China, top PLA general ‘warns’ India
BEIJING: Hours before defence minister AK Antony’s arrival on a visit aimed at mending border fences, a top Chinese general on Thursday warned India against provoking the People’s Liberation Army by increasing troop deployment along the Line of Actual Control. The remark comes at a time when India and China have been discussing a new border cooperation agreement and reflect Beijing’s perceived efforts to pressure India to accept its proposals on the issue.
“India is the only country in the world that regards China not only as a military power but also talks about China’s military threat. India should be cautious about what it says and what it does,” said Maj Gen Luo Yuan, who is also the executive vice president of China Strategy Culture Promotion Association.
“The Indian side should not provoke new problems and increase military deployment on the border and start new trouble,” Luo told reporters, hours before Antony’s visit, the first by an Indian defence minister in seven years.
Referring to the recent New Delhi visit by Chinese premier Li Keqiang, Luo said, “The political relationship has been enhanced. Now the defence minister of India is visiting here. I believe the situation is within control and it is upto India not to start some new trouble.”
The new border cooperation agreement drafted by China came up at recent talks between National Security Advisor Shiv Shankar Menon and his Chinese counterpart. There is no agreement yet on the draft as New Delhi has raised some objections.
Lou’s remarks show China will push Anthony and his delegation on its version to avoid a repeat of the Chinese incursion in Depsang in Ladakh. He went far ahead of the Chinese foreign ministry in his assessment of land which Beijing thinks is occupied by India.
“There is still 90,000 sq km of territory occupied by the Indian side. These are problems left over from history and we need to look at it with a cool head,” said Luo, a former deputy director-general of the Department of World Military Research of the Academy of Military Sciences.

Comparing herself with her relatively smaller neighbors, the silly self-satisfying mood that India gets in and beats her chest every time, China slaps India and reminds — no, you are not! So, don’t act like a gorilla.

The opportunist communist China is not trustworthy; clash with PLA is inevitable so India should not waste her effort and time for making a trustworthy friendship with China. The only language what China understand is opponent strength and weakness. What India need to do is to attaining enough economic and military strength and also making alliance with likeminded country like USA, Europe, Australia, Japan and other democratic countries around the world.

The usual bluff & bluster from deceptive and unreliable neighbour. What does this general mean by issuing threats to us? Does he think that 2013 is 1962? It is not and can not be. India as a nation can take care of it’s defence and other affairs. Let China remain in it’s limits.

These Chinese generals live in a box that is stuck in time. I do not think a country like China is able to defend itself against Japan, Vietnam and India on all fronts which confuse me the way the PLA opens their big mouth.

This is nonsense, afterall a major general makes such provocative comment hours before the Indian Defence minister visiting China, who has given permission to make such comments.surely it”s the chinese govt ,Our defence minister should have canceled his visit and should have demanded an explanation from chinese Govt. IT is time now, we tell the chinese without any ambiquity that this land belongs to india and non has any claim over it,r

Increase the military presence along the border with China. If there are incursions by the Chinese shoot them. There will never be a full scale war as both countries have nuclear weapons. What’s the use of dialogue with China when they cannot be trusted. Mr Anthony your trip to China is a waste of time

What is the big deal ?…He is not a Top general !…The fellow is only a Major General in the PLA…and there are more than 500 of them in the PLA of that rank.

Send Sonia to Beijing for negotiations for two reasons, 1- This problem of boarder was created by her Great Grand Father i.e. Nehru and 2- let us see if she can cast some Italian magic spell over Chinese as she seems to have spun web over Congis young or old.

PLA general ‘warns’ India– for what???. China works on the basis of creating fear. Last time when Chinese PM was visiting they created border issue just before his visit. Now before defense minister visit some idiot in PLA has issued the controversial statement. It is high time time than Indians understand not to buy Any China Made Product. China is behaving like big Boss based on the work received from other country. This fact is known to USA very well and is correcting itself. Wall mart is true reflection of China so do not allow even wall mart to come to India. Jai Mahatma GANDHIJI
