Hong Kong to Beijing by high-speed train from $157
Mark Smith 乘坐高铁从香港到北京，票价157美元
Have to give it to Chinese for the top class infrastructure.
I'm feeling very bad why I was not born in china
Sharma ji give your contribution to your own country. Why u want to be a taker and not a giver??
If you had a choice you could choose to be born in a much more advanced country like Japan for example
@LVK probably you are Japanese.you used to those tiny apartment. I m in Germany, I can not live in those tiny Japanese apartment.
however I have been to China also.they have much room to live.
In india only educating children's in English in education that also in british English .
The slowest train China will be faster than the fastest train in India...........the world will find it very difficult to catch up with this giant. Salute to technology, salute to governance.....
Amazing. I compare this to a trip of a shorter distance using trains from Northern England to Gibraltar about 35 years ago. It took me 6 days!
Wow!!! That's very reasonable. USD157.00 for 2282km.
This price is for the second class ticket (at 3:28). A business class ticket costs USD$490
@Chang Liu Even this is a second class ticket, it's still damned cheap consider the distance of 2282km. This price is ONLY good for a ride from Washington DC to Boston and it's NOT even high speed rail. It's ONLY fast speed rail.
A Paris-Marseilles ticket price is 55 €*2 but it depends on the day you travel and the hour. Very expensive for only a 800km trip.... And the french railway crews company are very rude and unefficient !!!
@bobduvar Yes, generally European public service and public transport staff are a bit rude. God knows why?? Even the staff at China high speed rail station are not like that.
@JEFFREY ANG Because in Europe they have unions they won't lose their jobs no matter how bad their service is
And to think that when I was kid in the USA in 1960's we used to regard china as a dirt-poor, totally undeveloped (they could not even make steel). When I would not eat my veggies, my mother would say "Think of the starving children in China!
But what country's transportation looks like the Third-world now?
Is this your thoughts about whole Asia ???? Means including South Asia???
@ALTAMASH AZEEMABADI south asia is still dirt poor. Dont think it ever gonna change. Not for at least another century.
As a 90s Chinese, my father was born in 1960s, and he has a younger brother who did not survive the famine. It is true from what your mother said. But now China has freed its people from the fear of famine.
Could not make steel? Lol...
What you mother told you was very true. Only 20 years ago, China was still a very poor country.
As I am currently living in Beijing, this is one journey I will be making. I am going to Qingdao in two weeks, as it's only 4 hours I am going First Class - its still more convenient than flying. Thanks for the video.
Planes, Trains, Everything.
A great video, and thanks for sharing this amazing experience. I'll be doing some of my own Chinese high-speed travel this summer, and I CAN'T WAIT !!
They have to be some of the sleekest looking trains I've eve seen, beautiful design, just stunning .... wow.
That's the straight-line equivalent of Washington, DC to Denver. Not bad in 9 hours.
Stunning train.. but still I would love to travel in my Indian train more, which do makes me feel the love of train. It is long, chaotic, slow, has different colours & coach types and swings while running on tracks. I am just adopted in it rather than travel advanced trains which are more like a plane running on tracks or car running at speed of 400 km/hr.
Though, hatsoff to hygiene & advanced techs in Chinese Trains. I do appreciate that
Aus Flight Channel
Wow. That looks like an incredible journey. Great way to see some of the country.
Perfect, greetings from Berlin
You are really a big fan of bullet train!
Enjoyed the trip. Great to see you back, thanks Mark
And America still has Amtrak LMAO
Thank you so much for the upload! That was an awesome trip I am also planning to do some train trips through China and this motivates me so much!!!
Thank you very much for taking us on the ride - terrifying how backward every other country in the World is compared!
the scene after guangzhou of the countryside, is that fog or pollution?
Biz class looks comfy. How much is the ticket goes for ?
Mir Ali From Hong Kong to Beijing $510.
1. Trains are far superior in style, comfort, speed, and cleanliness to anything we have in the US.
2. Wonder why the Business class is so much nicer than First?
Surprisingly not many passengers using the train.
The UK invented trains but when you look at this train you realise that the UK trains are running in a 3rd world country. You have to give the Chinese a gold medal. Top marks as well for spotless stations unlike ours.
Seeing this I can’t help comparing it to trains in India. Two countries with soon to have the same number of citizens. Less than 70 years ago they where on the same level, now train travel is about 70 years apart, India still haven’t move an inch from the time of the British. India 70 years after independence is still struggling to give every citizen access to a toilet.
This bullet train is far better than plane business class.
271km/h..... The speed is much lower than any european high speed train !!
bobduvar there are like 40+ stations along the way. The highest running speed for this train go up to 350km/h
bobduvar This is an average speed u fucktard. No European train has average speed of 271km/h
It sounds more noisy than Shinkansen,,, isn't it ??
Bhagwan kshatriya Kurmi ji
Compared to japan its a trash.
No, it’s not. Speed is the same, 300kmh. In fact, the interior is exactly like Shinkansen, I was thinking when I was on it how very similar it was. Except that business class is a lot better than any class found on any Tokaido Shinkansen.
