China's economy cools in Q4, 2018 growth hits 28-year low
BEIJING: China's economic growth cooled slightly in the fourth quarter from a year earlier as expected, weighed down by weak investment and faltering consumer confidence as Washington piled on trade pressure, leaving 2018 growth the weakest in 28 years.
Fourth-quarter gross domestic product (GDP) grew at the slowest pace since the global financial crisis, easing to 6.4 percent from 6.5 percent in the third quarter, data from the National Bureau of Statistics showed on Monday. Analysts polled by Reuters had expected 6.4 percent.
That left full-year growth at 6.6 percent, the slowest rate of expansion China has seen since 1990. Analysts polled by Reuters had expected it to cool to 6.6 percent from a revised 6.8 percent in 2017.

This can be a big opportunity for India.
Ever since China has become pushy with policies, they have been losing favor in the international market.
we are growing at nearly 8%, that's higher than China
for past 3 years we have grown at faster pace than China
BTW, we are now the 5th largest economy in the world, hence not too small compared to China which is at no.2.
We will need continued good work and a stable go nment, for that to happen.

We are growing at 7.6 percent and China at 6 percent. UK is growing at less than 2 percent. That means we will be fifth largest economic power in a year or so. Awesome!
Keep it up Indians , keep it up modi go nment!

Nothing worriesome for China.
China is already developed way more than India (actually there is no comparision in China and India any more)
A relatively slow growth in China now does not indicate anything negative.

India''s economic status is about the same as that of China in 2004-2005 in terms of nominal GDP. In the last 15 years China''s growth grew exponentially. India has the same potential if the country keeps growing closer to 8% or better...According many economists, India is the next China especially given that majority of the population is under 30 years of age - This demographic dividend is also same pattern that followed the Chinese growth...Unless India goofs up big time, India has good potential...India is will dislodge Germany as the 4th largest economy in not too distant a future...Key to this growth is not to elect the looter parties like Scamgies and Gutbandan opposition...

That is 6.6% on 12 tn$ and ours 7.2% on 2.6 tn $. Calculate which one is greater. China is way ahead than us. We have to grow by at least 12% if we want to catch up with china in 10 years
