Beyond the Tesla bubble: The future of electric cars is being scripted in China
Electric cars are the future we've all been waiting for. Oh wait. Maybe they’re a sub-optimal solution to our transport needs that has failed in the past and is doomed to fail again. It all depends on who you ask. Welcome to our field guide on China's electric-vehicle industry
A Battery Breakthrough is needed
Electric cars use 1 lb of coal per mile to charge their batteries...there, I said it!!
Rafikiy - About 2/3rds of our electricity comes from burning coal....there, I said it.
Unless....it came from wind, solar, NG, or nuclear.....there, I said it.
No, some of us prefer gas powered cars. If electric cars are so compelling why is market share a less than 1 percent with huge government subsidies?
Eventually the rest of the market will catch up. You can deny it all you want. It will be more efficient and safe.
Had to replace a battery and the cost was $3000.00 I'm going back to gas!
after how many miles @ .o5 per mile?
Anyway, I dont think China's electric cars can be used as a benchmark, their battery quality is very bad, the drivetrain is not well tuned, and the software just sucks. There're so many electric cars in China just because the auto makers want to grab most of the government allowance before it went dry, hence rushing out all these bad products.
Until you can recharge an electric car as fast as filling a gas tank..
I doubt China is doing anything for real. They have a history of lying about everything.
China is the world's largest polluter........... Remember that.
Only Trump speaks the TRUTH!!!!
White people have a history of lying about everything. Ask natives in Australia, Canada, South America, Greenland, Alaska, US, Guam,
Polynesia Islands, New Zealand, Alaska,.........Trust China. White people speak with forked tongues.
Does anyone really think a cheap chinese knock off will unseat Tesla?
