印媒: 中国成功试验第一架可携带核弹头的高超音速飞行器

BEIG: China on Monday announced that it has successfully tested its first hypersonic aircraft which could carry nuclear warheads and penetrate any current generation anti-missile defence systems, seen as a breakthrough in develo cutting-edge weapons.

北京:周一中国宣布已成功测试了第一架可以携带核弹头并穿透任何当代反导防御系统的高超音速飞行器,这被视为中国在研发尖端武器方面的突破。

The ingkong-2 or Starry Sky-2, was launched in a target range located in Northwest China on Friday last, the state-run China Academy of Aerospace Aerodynamics (CAAA) said in a statement.

官方的中国航空航天空气动力学学会(CAAA)在一份声明中说,“星空2”于上周五在中国西北部的一个靶场发射。

The United States and Russia have been carrying out similar experiments.

美国和俄罗斯一直在进行类似的实验。

Launched by a multi-stage rocket, China's waverider was released in the air after about 10 minutes. It flew independently, made large-angle turning maneuvers, and landed in the targeted area as planned, the statement said.

中国的乘波飞行器由多级火箭发射,大约10分钟后在空中分体。声明称,该飞机是独立飞行,进行了大角度转弯操作,并按计划降落在目标区域。

The flight vehicle reached 30 kms in altitude at Mach 5.5-6, the statement quoted by the official media today said.

The hypersonic aircraft was designed by the CAAA in collaboration with the China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation.

Waverider is a flight vehicle that flies in the atmosphere and uses shockwaves generated by its own hypersonic flight with the air to glide at high speed, Song Zhong, a military expert told state-run Global Times.

军事专家宋仲平在接受《环球时报》采访时表示,乘波飞行器是一种能在大气层中飞行的飞行器,利用高超声速飞行产生的冲击波以高速滑翔。

Various parameters were proved and the flight vehicle was fully recovered, which marks the successful launch of ingkong-2 and the first flight of a Chinese waverider, the statement said.

声明说,各种参数都得到了验证,飞行器回收成功,标志着“星空二号”的成功发射,标志着中国“摇摆号”的首次飞行。

"Announcing the successful test to the public indicates that China must have already made a technological breakthrough with the weapon," Song said.

The waverider is expected to be tested more frequently in future before being handed over for deployment to the People's Liberation Army, he said.

The current generation of anti-missile defence systems is mainly designed to intercept cruise and ballistic missiles, which are either slower or easier to predict, making them possible to intercept, he said.

But the trajectory of a waverider is relatively unpredictable in the glide and it flies so fast that it poses an extreme challenge to current anti-missile defense systems, Song said.

Any rocket has the potential of launching a waverider, and the waverider can carry both conventional and nuclear warheads, Song said.

"The test showed that China is advancing shoulder-to-shoulder with the US and Russia," Song said.

In addition to its military use, the hypersonic flight vehicle may also see civil use in the future, an unnamed military expert, told the Global Times.

"If the hypersonic technology matures, it may see other applications including industrial transport," the expert said.

China whose defence budget this year amounted to USD 175 billion is investing heavily in defence research and development to catch-up with US, Russia and European Union.

China does not have reservation in its education or government.
Just as US, Russia, UK, France and Germany do not have.
But we have reservation.
So those with passing marks enter top institutes and occupy top posts.
Then how will they produce hypersonic aircarafts ?
We can still not produce a simple, workable, jet engine for fighter planes.
And still buses are being burnt for more reservation...
Shivaji and Ambedkar rose on their own merit but today''s politicians are turning Marathas and others into beggars for degrees and jobs.

中国的教育和政府没有预留制。就像美国、俄罗斯、英国、法国和德国一样。但是我们有预留制。所以那些通过考试的人进入了顶尖学府,占据了顶尖的职位。

Good news is that y''all Indians are also working on HYPERSONIC AIRCRAFT. It is called AVATAR program (also ATV rocket program is based off of hypersonic technology), and hopefully your first flight will be scheduled by 2025. You Indians need to spend more money on military R&D if you plan on taking China, your #1 enemy, head on. Your defense budget is one-fifth of China, and not enough is spent on modernization in order to match China''s modernization drive.
