China has been building the world's largest solar farm on the Tiban Plateau in an ambitious bid to transform itself into the new green superpower.

已经在青藏高原建造了世界最大的太阳能电厂，以实现其成为新的绿色超级大国的雄心。

The Gonghe Solar Park in Qinghai province sprawls over an area of 298 square kilometres (115 square miles), about five times the size of Manhattan, according to People's Daily.

据人民日报报道，青海共和太阳能光伏电站占地面积超过298平方公里，是曼哈顿的5倍。

A total of 42 Chinese solar companies have built a massive 3,450 megawatts installed capacity in the park, which could power families living in an area nearly as big as India.

总共42家太阳能公司在该光伏电站安装装机容量3450兆瓦的太阳能板，可以为面积和印度一样大地区的人们供电。
