Eye on China: India steps up naval deployments, kicks off nuclear submarine project
NEW DELHI: The great game in the Indian Ocean Region (IOR), where both India and China are jostling for the same strategic space, is unfolding at a rapid clip.
Around the time a Chinese nuclear submarine is expected to cross over into the IOR early next year, in keeping with past deployments, India would be kicking off major military exercises to project power and hone combat capabilities on the high seas.

Considering the amount of sea defense area India needs to cover, we are way behind in Naval defense in terms of number for naval vessels and technology. The sooner we built the better for us.

The Chinese have had no real combat experience barring one border skirmish with us. It appears all their servicemen are busy building factories, roads, Highways and whatnot. Our armed forces on the other hand have gone through many wars and battles. They will be able to handle any challenges that come down the road. India just needs to keep its eyes open and it's fighting forces in good condition.

Good! During the Congress rule of 60 years, every Indian was coerced into believing that we should be scared of China. Under Modi and team, that has changed. Everyone from the PM to army chief has taken on China and for the first time in ages, an average Indian isn''t scared of China.

its good India is fast tracking the naval deployments. we would not like to attack any one but if situation arises India should be able to defend itself
