外文标题：India has right to demand permanent seat in UN security council: Narendra Modi
NEW DELHI: Addressing Indian citizens at community reception in France, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday said that India has right to demand permanent seat in UN security council.
Speaking at Carrousel du Louvre, Modi said, "Gone are the days when India had to beg; now we command our rights." Modi is on a two-day trip to Paris.
"I have come to France earlier, as a tourist, but today I have come to bring tourists to India," Modi said.
Modi arrived to an enthusiastic welcome at a reception from the Indian community on Saturday evening.
He mentioned, "Earlier I wanted to visit France out of curiosity, to see how it is, today I've come with a dream to take my nation ahead."
Talking about India's relationship with France, Modi said that France is the first one to raise voice in case of any injustice to India.

Well done Modi ji but do not forget that tourists' security is much more important than any other facilities and infrastructure.

good diplomatic tactics shown by PM...hope India will soon get a permanent membership in UNSC
UNSC should be abolished. Veto power to permanent members of SC has always over ruled the majority decisions of UN membership country. One country misusing the Veto power can over rule the UN. That is why UNO has failed to resolve many problems in the world.
Keep dreaming India..
Long live Modi and BJP! Proud of my PM today...
There are five pillars on which the world stands. All five hold the veto power in the security council, the center being USA. If there are to be six, seven or eight pillars, where do they fit in. The best thing is to ask for the removal of veto power, and allow major decisions to be taken by the majority in the security council which would comprise as many member countries with considerable stake in the international affairs.

India was one of the strongest economies at the time of mughals, but the Britishers plundered and stole the india's wealth to their country. If china can get a permanent status in security council then why can't india
